I've been writing about food and wine over at http://kitchendecanted.com for a couple of months now. It's nice to do something a little creative outside of work and it's great fun to write.

If you fancy reading my reaction to my first Big Mac in nearly 20 years then head over and check it out. Don't be shy

The more I blog and I see that people are actually looking at it, gives me enthusiasm to continue. I've just posted a blog about The Beatles which was meant to be a continuation of an original piece I wrote (which gets quite a few hits from Google) but I forgot about it, so its 6 months down the line and its finally complete!

Setting up a blog was my project for this year, encouraged by a few mates who wanted my views on movies, now that we don't get together as often down t'pub to discuss such things. And so, The Fast Picture Show was born, and Iike an unruly child, I'm trying to beat it into some sort of presentable shape. Come and have a gander, if you can be arsed.

The Fast Picture Show Serious about movies. But not too serious.

I know, I know, I can only blame the drink for that. But so many drunks to admire, so few places to fill.

I've spent the last few months shaping a blog as well, although currently it has absolutely no focus whatsoever, and the content is based on what I can be bothered to write about at the time...

I do blog aboot films it called Advice to the Lovelorn and sometime has stuff bout music and comedy + history. If you've read Finnegans Wake, then it's very similar to that, but with worse grammar.

Thoroughly enjoying your site so far. Brief and punchy posts, every word...necessary. The design is sweet too.

Mine, on the other hand, is a sloppy mess. Stuff about films, TV, games. Still, I enjoy throwing my brains on to the internet.

Hiya all,

Well I've just ventured into the world of both podcasting and blogging fairly simultaneously so I'd love some feedback and people to go check them out and see what they think.

My podcast, What The Foosh is a fun, improvised look at the world of popular culture and the first episode features both games and films including Paranormal Activity 3, X-Men: First Class, a rant on the marketing for Twilight: Breaking Dawn but is more games-heavy with (honestly) world exclusive Final Fantasy XIII-2 information, discussing the plot and ending of Batman: Arkham City and a look forward to Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Grand Theft Auto V.

It is currently available on iTunes to stream or download at: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/what-the-foosh/id481475374

Or it can be streamed from the master blog at www.wtfooshmaster.blogspot.com (which also gives a full contents breakdown).

My main blog, actually separate (well in partnership) with the podcast can be found at www.wtfoosh.blogspot.com - currently there's only a review round-up post and a much longer look at the current state of modern moviemaking 'cliches'.

Wordpress.com has been fine for me. I use google docs to write posts and I've had a few formatting problems when pasting stuff over but nothing major (often just a paragraph break missing and I have to go into the html and drop a <br> tag in). Besides that it's been all good.

This might be a good place to post this before I have an aneurysm - basically my blog yesterday was thereflectedlife.com, but then my year ran out so it reverted to thereflectedlife.wordpress.com, so i updated for another year and it changed to thereflectedlife.me and i don't understand why, or any of the instructions for how to get it back. Would be good if someone knew how to fix it back to .com using small words for me.

Perhaps unwisely, I've also started a new blog, devoted entirely to silent cinema.

Nice idea, I love the inter-titles, great work.

And in a nice coincidence my site has a feature on the best books on silent film tomorrow.

Speaking of blogs, my site is currently the 16th most influential film one on the internets as of two weeks ago. It's climbed up two places so far this year, so I'm hoping to crack the top 10 by the end of 2012.
