It needs to be an unknown actor who is between 6"4 and 6"6. I'm a professional actor and I'm an avid reader of the series. Originally I didn't want there to be any films made of the books because the way I build the scene and the characters in my head is perfect to me, and it will be completely different to everybody else's perception, but everybody will see it the way they want to see it using their own interpretation. A film would give us a definite article, and it wouldn't be perfect, as there is no room for interpretation and less chance to be surprised. I would love to see my favourite character on screen but the actor playing him would have to have been born and bred specifically for that role, reaching about 6"5, weighing about 220lbs and having the same somatotype. Don't get me wrong, I would be happy to be proved wrong by someone making a fantastic adaptation, but you can understand my scepticism when The Godfather film is brilliant, but the book is better, Congo, Pelican Brief (all completely different books, but all better than the films) same story, so when somebody like Reacher, who was basically created to be perfect at what he is and does, is supposed to be introduced by a film, the chances of it living up to the books maybe weigh in at 1%. It must be about the character, not the actor playing him. However, when my girlfriend said "stop being so sour, a movie of one of those books could end up being amazing. If you could choose who played Reacher, who would it be?" I Said &
