THank you.

Odd to see Weaving referred to as a British actor. And I think they're missing the point a bit - you can have good big budget effects extravaganzas. Stamp and Weaving are just talking about two shit directors.

If it's to make the nails taste horrible then that doesn't work with me unfortunately, I just bite them anyway and put up with the taste. That and I stop using it actually because it gets on whatever food I'm eating my hands.

Well I admire your dedication to the cause.

It's definitely one of my dumber compulsions. I google image'd nail biting the other day and saw all these "horrifying" examples, looked at mine, and thought "pfft, they're nothing!"

Short of paying a hypnotist, I've run out of options.

Yeah I'm not sure what else I can suggest. I only occasionally bite my nails - I used to nervously pick at them instead and ruin them that way. Either way, I guess I had the incentive of wanting feminine looking hands and lovely nails, which is what made me pack it in.

Good luck, hope you find something to help.

Not in that article, but he also talks about how he did the prequel because he wanted to work with Natalie Portman. He turned up on the morning for his scene with her only to find she wasn't there. "Where's Natalie?" he asked Lucas. "Oh, she'll be over there" says Lucas, pointing to a piece of paper hanging on a wall.

I don't remember Terence Stamp being in a Star Wars flick.

Me neither. Mind, if these blockbusters are so beneath the likes of Stamp and Weaving then, erm, why appear in them? I can only assume they both gave their enormous pay-cheques to the local am dram society.

In his defence, Stamp does say he more or less did to specifically work with Natalie Portman.

The dirty old man.

And it's not necessarily an argument about being beneath them - I think they're talking specifically about specific films and filmmakers.

How could anyone possibly tell one bad performance from another in that film?

Mittens and duct tape work quite well.

I used to do exactly the same. I eventually trained myself not to by making myself aware of when I was doing and consciously stopping (a lot of the time I was doing it without knowing as I do a lot of things), slowly I became aware when I was doing it and eventually I stopped myself from doing it (although it took months to do).

Recently started watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and it's fucking hilarious.

Past couple of days, waiting for tomorrow, has been awful and this is the only thing that's made me smile.

Ugh - they had to remind me of Stamp's creepy crush on Natalie Portman. I almost typed Nabokov Portman there.

Why would anyone block you? You're one of the easiest going and least argumentative people on the boards.

Wait a minute: are you a Christopher Nolan fan?

Why yes. Yes I am. How did you guess?

By the way, it's been a long time since I've been one of the "least argumentative" of any forum, so that makes a change.
