 A girl in HMV today laughing to herself as I goofed around with my other half and repeatedly tried to ping the hat off his head and him getting more and more agitated. I'm glad my goofiness makes others smile

 Just remembered that earlier on today I was sitting waiting for my dad in the car outside a local garage. The wall infront of me had an advert for Walker's crisps, and more specifically 'Meaty' crisps. Intrigued, I started reading the flavours, which you can see in the pic below -



Anyway I got to '100% British potatoes' and thought to myself, "That's an odd flavour for crisps, that would make them taste just like.... crisps."

And realised my ridiculous mistake.

 Opening a letter I thought was from my bank, turns out it's from National Savings and Investments... and it turns out I have some! I had no idea. It looks sort of official and it is merely a statement rather than something telling me to deposit all my money into a certain account so I presume it's real. I will have to have words with my parents tomorrow to find out what on earth this is all about, but assuming it's true then, whilst not rich, I am not as financially woeful as I previously believed!

 Coming back from town on the bus today and while we were merrily winding our way through the various streets a charva was trying to cross the road after the bus had passed him by jogging behind it and dodging through the traffic.

However, he was too busy giving a gobful of some verbals (whether it was abuse or some attempt at charm I don't know) to a girl he'd been talking to on the street, that he wasn't watching what he was doing and he ran into the back of the bus with a rather audible thump.

I bite my nails, most of the time to the point that they start to bleed (mostly it's the skin around them that I gnaw off). It's embarrassing, painful, and worst of all I can't bloody stop doing it! So lately, I've started putting small squares of bandage tape over the nails and the cuticles, to prevent me from getting at them, and so far it's working pretty well.

However, I'm looking for something a little more hard wearing as every time I wash my hands I have to take the stuff off, as it isn't very water proof and will come off after getting wet anyway.

So my search took me to Amazon, where I found something that appeared to be what I was after (waterproof, sweat proof, and sticky enough that it won't start unravelling).


...Then I read the 2nd comment on this review by Jim.

When I was a kid my dad used that stuff you use to polish metal on my fingers. Worked almost immediately!

 Hood, you get stuff to actually paint onto your nails to help with this. I used to use it when I was younger to stop me sucking my thumb!

It's clear, and as far as I can recall it's not glossy, so you won't look as though you have painted nails. It's just really foul tasting stuff that will definitely put you off putting your fingers near your mouth again.

Ignore the fact they have a ladies hand with red painted nails - it's definitely clear.

If it's to make the nails taste horrible then that doesn't work with me unfortunately, I just bite them anyway and put up with the taste. That and I stop using it actually because it gets on whatever food I'm eating my hands.

 I don't know if the Haneke spoof Twitter feed is "comedic genius", but it is funny. Or at least I think it is anyway.

My favourite tweet was the one when he said something along the lines of: "I met Mel Gibson and he said I'm his second favourite Austrian".
