Aw, what a lovely story. I love nature and animals and -

Oh.

I suppose that was quite abrupt! Think I was wanting to jump in for a shower by that point of my post.

It was bit of bad fortune though - we were out in the country and had just travelled down a single track, winding road, that goes through a forest and comes out near a farm and just masses of open countryside and hills. There must be about one car a day on that road, if that. And this poor thing had been hit by one.

I just received the David Attenborough Drawn from Paradise book from work as a get well soon present. I am genuinely touched by it ( I know this is a grammar failure ).

It was truly unexpected. I almost feel I should feel more unhealthy to deserve it.

I'll come round and give you a kick in the balls if you need one?

Or a punch in the throat if you're a lady, obviously.

For some reason the thought of your testicles being quite happy about anything, makes me smile.

Matt Smith - Are you nervous to be back at White Hart Lane?
Fabrice Muamba - A little. I just hope I don't collapse on the pitch this time.

That was a masterclass in forced, awkward interviewing from Smith. Being the replicant that he is, empathy and other subtle human emotions don't really compute.

When I read that my initial thought was, "Why is Doctor Who interviewing a footballer...?"

Indeed. That said, ITV got Christopher Eccleston to interview Wayne Rooney once. Very surreal!

Strangely enough, I read once that Tom Baker and George Best were drinking buddies.

A friend who does maintenance in a hospital in the city just text me saying he's working in the mental ward and in the TV room there's a bunch of DVDs. Among them is a copy of Shutter Island. Somebody is really clever/stupid/evil.

My dad picked me up today and we went out for our usual Saturday walk. He decided to take us somewhere different that he'd read about online, and unfortunately the area we went to was not very well sign posted for the right tracks. So we came to a fence with a barbed wire top and it was either get over it somehow or return the whole way we'd just walked.

So my dad found a nearby rock and started to get a foot over with the help of that, whereas I just forced the fence down and slipped between the barbed wire part and the rest of it.

Anyway I stood up to see dad still struggling to get his footing right, and on the way over the fence he put his foot on a young tree to steady him out, but it really slowly gave way and he fell in super slow motion to the ground.

Once I found out he was o.k and picked the leaves out of his hair I couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the trip. I'm still laughing now. It was just the slow motion of it all.... like the tree pretty much laid him down on the ground with a; 'there you go pal.'

Can't stop laughing.
