Adam Richman DM-ed me.

Day made.

I had to google him to find out who he was.
Is that bad?

Yes, shocking. You really should brush up on your American cholesterol timebombs.

He and I can die in a joint heart attack and be buried in a greasy grave together. Romantic!

Sway what did the DM say? Sorry I'm nosey!

Two things today have made me smile:

1. The absolute trust my 2 & 1/2 year old niece has in me, we were playing and being loud and rowdy and she was diving off the settee onto me, who was laying on the floor. Knowing I'd catch her and she was safe.

2. After years and years of wanting one I finally purchased a 1950's style circle skirt and petticoat. Had great fun twirling in it at the shop. Although my niece looked at me when I came out of the changing room in the first one state "That's not Harley". Then she made me twirl in them so the skirts went up.

Basically today my niece has made me smile.

It was in response to my marriage proposal. Ended up in a convo with him this evening. Turns out he's a smutmeister. Ruined my wholesome image of him.

Have you got anything concrete you can sell to the Sun? Could you maybe get some kind of pictures from him? I am prepared to represent you in this matter (for a modest fee)

The three epic hours of The Boss tonight. Probably the finest gig I've ever seen.

I think I cried four times. Quite possibly more.

This used to be The Festival Tavern but driving past it the other day realised they've changed it to Lebowski's, a pub themed on 'His Dudeness' himself. Makes sense to have a film themed pub there as its right next to two cinemas.

Will be having a pint there tonight after Larry of Arabia.

Wait, you go to a Lebowski themed pub and you're not having a White Russian?

He played his longest gig ever in Madrid the other night. He's showing good signs of never slowing down. I'm getting rather buzzed waiting to see him in three weeks!

How he has the energy at his age I have no idea.

Anyway, highlights. I had a proper blub during Wrecking Ball because the lyrics of that really connect with me at the minute, and the segue at the end from Thunder Road into Born to Run is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Johnny 99, Murder Incorporated and Working on a Highway were immense, too.

Aside from the songs, there was a moment where he'd finished one song and gave his harmonica to a girl in the crowd, who just broke down in tears, she was so shocked. He pulled a guy up on stage to dance with him (it was his birthday apparently) and that was hilarious. And something which was rather lovely, was that there was a girl probably no more than six with her parents near the front. Anyway, the camera kept cutting to her for the big screens as she was on her dad's shoulders and she had the hugest grin on the face the entire three hours. When it cut to her during Dancing in the Dark and she was bobbing up and down, punching the air in joy, I think the entire stadium collectively went "Aww!"

Enjoy three weeks time.

That is my dream! I stand at work and daydream about Bruce picking me out of the crowd to dance with like the Dancing In The Dark video! I'm so happy he actually does this.

Sounds like he was on top form Matty. I'm going to have to acquaint myself with Wrecking Ball, I've heard it a few times and I love it but having listened to it since it's release.

The last time I seen him, there was a little girl at the front of the crowd with her dad. While he was singing Waitin On A Sunny Day, he gave her the microphone and she sang into it. It was the most gorgeous moment, I love him for stuff like that.

Yeah, he managed to somehow be even better than I thought he would be.

And I know that it's really pretty irrelevant to an artist's music, but he genuinely seems like a nice guy who gets a real connection to the crowd.

I've got my first Job interview for nearly two years! This could be my opportunity to get out of retail at long last. The only down side is that the company the job is with could be one of two companies with the same name. One would be quite an interesting company to work for where I could use my politics degree and actually engage my brain. The other is a medical company who deal with pharmaceutical companies which I have no interest or passion for and can see myself getting quite frustrated if I got the job. It was through an agency who are going to send me more information soon so I will find out. Still, a job is a job, and a non retail job is even better!

In from work, glass of wine in hand, pizza on plate and David Bowie night on BBC4. Yes, that will do.

Listening to Radio 3 in the car on the way home from picking up the children, and my daughter says, "this piece sounds like the music to that Hedgehog film we watched last time."

This makes me smile for several reasons.
a. My daughter is listening to and evaluating classical music.
2. "Last time" was a fortnight ago, so she has a good memory.
d. She clearly remembered Hedgehog in the Fog well enough to draw this comparison, even if the name of the film escaped her.

So, I'm probably late to the party with this one, but I discovered this morning you could change google language settings to 'Elmer Fudd'.

Instead of saying 'search' it says 'hunt', and other such gems as 'I'm feewing wucky'.

So went to Lebowski's yesterday and it was a big let down, basically a trendy office wanker bar and not a single bowling alley in sight. No sign of White Russians either.

My son said to me today, "I heard a rude joke the other day at school..."
"Hmm, ok, son. Well, how does it start...?"
"A pregnant woman was walking home and got shot three times..."
"Ah, ok, yes, I know this one.
"Really?"
"Yes, son. That poor cat..."
Son laughs. We share a moment of a rude joke without the rude joke actually having to be told.
