I have, but I don't get the reference (it's been a while since I watched it).

Managing to get through the MOT despite a couple of potential automatic fails  - now where's the nearest baguette shop, I feel the need for some anarchy!

As another hard day at the office draws to a close, the realisation that there are only 2 more to go before I'm off to Liverpool to meet up with some buds for a long weekend of drunken debauchery at the Liverpool Tattoo Convention has brought a big smile to my face

Isn't that a Billy Connolly joke? "Who discovered we could get milk from cows, and what did he think he was doing at the time?"

I haven't heard that one. That raised even more of a smile ! Connolly was pretty much the funniest man alive for a long time.

Clever of use of it in a very well made advert. A breath of fresh air in amongst all the go compares & meerkats.

April was a bit of a shit month financially. On top of the usual there was 300 worth of gas/electricity. 200 car MOT & service. And then Student Loans Bastards slapped us with a demand for an extra 200 despite the loan in question having been paid off totally two years ago. Apparently there was "an error". And all this in the middle of my wife's maternity leave.

But the other day the Inland Revenue informed me that they owed me money from 2004, some kind of cock-up over tax allowances.

Cheque arrived today for 740. Jurassic Park!!

I have created an uber-geek! My son looks at the March issue if Empire on my living room floor, and sees the Avengers ensemble cover. He says, "why does Iron Man have the circular arc reactor in his chest, instead of the triangular one?"

GOOD QUESTION, MY BOY. GOOD QUESTION.

Empire: do you need a young research assistant? He'll work for sweets and free screenings of all kids' films.

Apparently Joss Whedon answers that question in a video on this very website's main page, according to Empire's twitterfeed. I've not checked it out yet.

Excellent, thanks. I couldn't find the video.

With luck, I can get my son calling things ass after this.

"Mum, I don't want Corn Flakes. Corn Flakes are ass."

Ex-text incoming...

Flatmate just threw himself into my room and took a huge dive. The resulting thud and skinned arm has had me absolutely crying with laughter.

What a tool.
