I'm not sure they'd sell something officially recalled - dubious legality if so.

Just bought in the hmv 5 blu ray for £30:

Ides of March
The Town
Copland
The Darkest Hour
Dirty Dancing : Keepsake Edition (to keep the missus happy)

There's some decent stuff in store at the moment.

Amazon have this for £8 at the moment which is pretty good considering it has just come out. It has become out of stock since I placed my order a few hours ago but if you don't mind waiting it might be worth ordering.

I like Dirty Dancing but the first Blu Ray was rubbish, it was too dark in the night scenes. I don't know if that has improved, probably not.

That`s a steal for those sets! Got the West Side Story set when it was $ 25.- myself and I already found that a good price.
Talking about good prices: the Mel Brooks blu-ray collection is currently $ 25,99 @ amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Mel-Brooks-Collection-Blu-ray/dp/B007LNBS2I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352407723&sr=8-2&keywords=mel+brooks
Ordered it right away

Amazon are doing their Black Friday week again this year. Alien to Prometheus on Blu-Ray currently going for £26.50

Clicky

You'll need to join a wait list due to the deal having reached capacity but at the moment chances are good (I checked it out, it actually says the chances of receiving this deal are currently good).

Not really interested myself. I'm after the 6 disc Alien set rather than the 4 disc included in this and I didn't enjoy Prometheus anywhere near enough to want to own it but at less than half price it's a bargain.

Really? I'm sure I read somewhere that it was the 4 disc set. Ah well no damage done, like I said I'd rather save the £7 and not buy Prometheus to be honest.

Anyone happen to know what price the complete Heroes boxset went for on Monday? Thanks.

Am I right in thinking that some of these deals are being repeated at the weekend?

Prometheus might`ve been a dissapointment in cinema`s, I still wanna own it so I got it for $ 14,99 (excl. shipping). A steal

Jaws Steelbook and Fast and Furious 1-5 (In the wheel box) will be on offer from 12:30 today.

Keeping my eye on the Steelbook. Not generally fussed about them personally but I do want me some Jaws on the cheap if possible.

£29.99 if memory serves, not sure about them being repeated at the weekend though, that said they're repeating some deals already I think, Darksiders 2 for the Xbox 360 was there yesterday, looks like it's on deal again today for example, so you might get lucky with the Heroes boxset again.

Some of the deals have very few items in them though - the Colombo set, I'm positive, only had 4 on offer.

The Woody Allen 20 film DVD box set just sold out pretty much the second I put it in my basket. There's a real possibility I just bought the only one they had on offer.

£23 for 20 films. Bargain although that's me pretty much spent for the month now.

Yeah I was thinking of holding out for that but I doubt it'll come down to much less than about £75-80 which I can't really justify spending on myself so close to Christmas.

You didn't - Rhubarb and I got it too

But I think you're right - definitely less than 10. The % was initially 23% so some divisor around there. Colombo went straight 25/50/75 gone.

Jaws steelbook was gone by the time I'd checked out with the Woody boxset as well. I'm assuming they've got to be staggering the deals rather than just selling them out in one burst. As mentioned above Darksiders 2 has been up on two consecutive days now and I'm sure they had Jaws on Monday as well.

Happy with my purchase though. I've only seen 4 of the 20 films so I've got December's viewing pretty much sorted .

There's currently a waitlist for Jaws. The Woody box set didn't have one did it? I'm sure it just turned to "Claimed" straight away. I've just set a reminder now for 17:14. If that Hitchcock set comes down into the £60 region then the wife gan get me it for Chrimbo. Massively unlikely I know but it's worth keeping an eye on.

You never know - the lower the amount in the pot, the lower the price I think.

I actually watched this and the Fast 5 go. All of the Jaws lot were claimed in under a minute and the Fast 5 within 90 seconds.

That is a bargain. I would have held out for that if I'd had a clue it would be so cheap. Also, tough luck for me but the wife's already bought my chrimbo present so no chance of her getting this for me.
