Distinct shortage of deals in the sales. All the same titles that have been under a tenner for months now. There were better deals around BEFORE Xmas. The Amazon 3 for 2 deal has taken most of the newer titles out.

 Find me a cheap but decent, MULTI REGIONAL (that I don't have to hack) Blu Ray player and I'll be interested...until then, I can't afford to get a player (or a PS3) when my upscaling Denon 1080p player is doing a decent job.

It is was in relation to the 2 links to cheap Blu-Ray players above. I'm all for getting one... but I'd need a multi-regional one.... so if you bargain spotters see one, let me know!

All players I know are region locked for DVD. The region locking for Bluray depends on the disc.

There are multi-regional blu-ray players available as well. Panasonic among others have released them. Still really expensive though

 Oldboy on Blu Ray is £11.99 on the HMV site. Not sure if it's that good a price in the grand scheme of things, but everywhere else I checked it was £20+. And as I haven't got it on dvd, I took the plunge.
