 I'd like a Barca - Man U quarter or semi final and hopefully we'll avoid the English clubs again. I've a nagging feeling that we'll get Man U though. We always seem to draw the English clubs and we've already had Chelsea (a lot) and Arsenal recently. I'd prefer either Porto or Villareal though. I think those would be the easiest out of the teams left.

I'd say Liverpool would have a better chance knocking Man Utd out of the cup in a two legged tie than in the final at a neutral venue.

 I'm quite amazed that they are still holding the Champions League final in Rome. If the final were to be played at the Emirates Stadium and it had been a bus load of Roma fans that had been surrounded by English supporters, attacked and stabbed would the UEFA response have been different. This is the same UEFA who seem to consider turnstiles a luxury at football grounds.

What I read in reports however was that the attack hadn't been life-threatending (!) and that they were surprised as there hadn't been trouble with Arsenal fans before. No, but there has been plenty with Roma fans.

So, apparently it is too late to change venue because of security concerns. Madness.

Yep, and then English clubs get kicked out of Europe again. Actually, that would never happen because of the huge revenue the English clubs bring to the competition, which is unfortunate for Platini, because I'm sure he'd love to ban us all again.

I'm certain every English would rather avoid each other. Although i can see Arsenal being knocked out by a European team i can't see the other 3 at the moment being beaten by them.

That would really depend on which Arsenal turned up.  Arsenal against Roma in the first leg would give anyone a game even Barca,  Arsenal in the second leg would lose to the Dog and Duck as long as they didn't have The Beast upfront.
Another thing with Arsenal, as I have been saying for what seems to be ages is, it depends greatly if Cesc, Eduardo, Walcott and Ade are back and fit.  If they are I think we could be looking at 4 semifinallists, draw providing.
As silly as it sounds if these players are back Arsenal have a chance of winning the thing.  Sure they wouldn't be favourites but there would only be Barca away from the English team who I think have a chance.

 Can't see Man U not reaching the final, but should be interesting who will be the ones to meet them there. Bayern are in form, but they'll have to be special to beat Barca.

 Quality draw, went almost as well as could be expected for our lot - Does this mean it will be Man U vs Arsenal in the semi? Barca vs Bayern will be very interesting indeed as well. Liverpool vs Chelsea AGAIN!

 A Man Utd/Liverpool final in Rome would be trouble. Don't see Liverpool beating Barca myself. They might not even beat Chelsea, its hard to back anyone but Hiddink in a KO Comp.

For the neutral, another Liverpool v Chelsea clash is a mouthwatering prospect. However, if we're picking a tie of the round, the Barcelona v Bayern Munich duel matches it all the way.
 
Have they picked the dates yet? I know Liverpool wanted to avoid playing on the anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.

 A possibility of an Arsenal/Utd v Barca final is mouthwatering...

I don't see any problems with Utd's tie and Arsenal should prove too much for Villareal. I think Bayern will give Barca a scare, but won't have enough to get past them and Chelsea/Liverpool will be as tight and unpredictable as ever. Normally, you would have every confidence in Pool, but I think Hiddink is as clever as Benitez in situations like this. Should be some cracking games!

 *sigh* Chelski again. United couldn't have got an easier draw. We couldn't have got a harder one. Oh well. Hopefully United will meet an in form Arsenal in the semi's and we'll meet an out of sorts Arsenal in the final!

 I can see the irony now - Liverpool finally learn how to beat their big four opponents home and away and then come unstuck against them in the CL.

I'm sure Liverpool fans won't thank me for this, but it's probably better that they go out early rather than risking a Utd/Pool final in Rome - that could have seriously bad ramifications as if Platini needs another reason.

Of course, you could also say it's better for Utd to go out earlier, but they've got the easier half of the draw so I can't really see that happening.

 I honestly wouldnt be surprised on another all english final here? could go either way. German sides often do well over spanish teams and i can see munich beating them barca.

Id be very surprised if it isnt arsenal/ utd in the other semi. Then that game will be which vidic turns up . That tie becomes interesting for me half my friends are utd fans and the other are arsenal fans. Think i'll sit in the middle in my coventry shirt and cheer on who evers winning!!

 I was getting pissed off in the pub last night, in Warrington people tend to be Pool or Man U fans and last night the Man U fans were out in full. They were acting like they'd already won the damn thing. I find it really hard to actually hold a conversation with some of them.

 Man Utd couldn't have got a more easy half of the draw! However, i'm predicting Arsenal beating them in the semis. Out of Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal i can see Arsenal having the best chance in the CL against Man Utd. If we beat Chelsea then that will be our toughest game apart from the final. Bayern aren't that great and even if they've just had a few good results i think it's just a flash in the pan. I could still see them beating Barca though. If we get to the semis i'd be confident against both of those.
