 Juve back into it. Another goal puts pressure on Chelsea. Usually find the CL groups boring, but being entertained tonight. Wish I'd have backed my gut on a Celtic score draw with a cheeky tender earlier. Still 10 mins to go and Celtic looking very tired :-(

 Great night for Utd. Reverse a 2-0 deficit to a 3-2 win. Galatasaray get a point against Cluj so a 5 point gap in easiest group ever (TM)

Fabby should've started ahead of Sanchez who's been awful this year, especially since the former got three assists at the weekend. It cost me also that, as I had there being 5+ goals in the match. Oh well, bring on Dortmund today!

 Gotta feel sorry for Ajax who had the best of the first 15 minutes. But that is what a touch of class can do for you (sorry Arsenal fans, but Nasri is class) one chance and back of the neck. Tough game for City going away and needing a result against Ajax who know their European campaign is as good as over if they don't get a win. Poor Ajax not what they used to be and seem to have lost all confidence now. Might seek out the Dortmund Madrid game now.

EDIT: Ah FFS teams just know when I've left my couch, don't they? Can't say that Ajax haven't deserved that overall. City need to remember they need to win this too. They've been the masters of the late goals in the PL, but I can see Ajax taking this (if they could finish). How Milner plays for a top team will continue to baffle me.

12 goals this season for all you Zlatan haters

2-1 to Ajax poor defending from a set piece and the Dutch deserve this. Those Mancini in Europe questions will be asked all over again. If the scores stay as they are they'll be 4 points behind Dortmund and 5 behind Real. Not only do they have to get back into this, but they have to really hope Dortmund don't put it in the back of the net.

 Ajax are doing what they did at the start of the game, but now are full of confidence and final touch. Schmeichel style save from Hart stops it being 4 on the night. Mancini has to do something and fast. You cant spend squillions on assembling a squad that wins the FA Cup and then the PL and go out in the group stage of the CL two seasons in a row.

2-1 to Dortmund as well. This is all kinds of bad for City.

 Oh how I danced a merry jig when Schmelzer's trundler went in. Always enjoy myself when the scum get their bum fumbled.

They've looked a bit out of sorts in the Bundesliga so far, but Dortmund have been excellent in the champions league this season. A cheeky wee draw in the Bernebeu in a fortnight & they'll top this group.

 Couple of interesting games on tonight. Can't decide what to watch. Think it will be a toss up between Real and Dortmund trying to get top spot in their group. Or watching Arsenal hopefully not flail too badly away to Schalke.

 I agree City weren't and haven't been convincing. They really don't seem to have a game plan, you don't look at them this season and are able to say 'that's the way City play'.

However, couple of bad decisions at the end and they were unlucky not to win.

 I've played devil's advocate on City standing behind Mancini, but I agree that the team does not play as a team. Jose has pulled together a collection of talented individuals again and again. If the owners want further success the answer is obvious to me.

Jose at City and Pep at Chelsea would be quite mouth watering next season.

 I don't dislike RDM. He did great to win the CL last season and Chelsea made a good start in the PL this year. However, this news came out last week:

 Malaga and Porto qualify. Kind of lucky for AC that Malaga only needed a draw. And even luckier for them that Zenit spent their money on overrated Hulk and can't get the Russians to gel with the expensive imports. Poor AC, has a club ever lost so many good players in such a short space of time?

 I guess that unless you are Scottish it has to be Chelsea vs. Shakhtar tonight.

Chelsea have not been on the best run in the last couple of weeks, but I still think they are Champions at heart and that means they can dig deep when they need to. Shakhtar wont be a push over. It can't even be classed as an upset if they win, and a draw would suit them just dandy. So it feels like the ball is in Chelsea's court as I don't think they will really fancy a potential winner takes all game against Juve.

 Yes. Apparently you don't have to be Scottish to watch this. Its on RTE in Ireland and I just stuck it on to watch Messi (also I can't get on with Setanta and who wants to see Utd have a run out).

Amazing. Was just listening to the Football Weekly podcast on the way into work this morning when they were on about Wanyama. Maybe this will come back to bite Barry Glendenning or whoever made the quip that Barca would win on the ass.

They made the right decision. This is going to be nerve-jangling stuff.

I only bothered flicking around when the kick-off came. I know it is Setanta Ireland, but seriously they were having a discussion about how Johnny Evans could be one of the best defenders for Utd ever. And seemed to be awful confused about why Smalling was starting and wasn't being given 20 minutes. Its basically a practice match you asses! Utd have 9 (lucky) points from 3 games.

EDIT: Course I got so tied up in that, I've only just realised at half time that this is a practice match for Barca too. Still a win for Celtic would be a win for Celtic.

 Just checked the BBC website for the HTs. Bayern going a bit mental there! Chelsea needed that goal as Juve seem to be making an easier meal of it than in the previous game. And in the group E table on BBC Chelsea need all the help they can get, as Juve are in 2nd and 3rd!
