It's funny seeing Lovejoy on the big screen.

I have to disagree here. This film looks like its going to rock. Its got Violence, Cars, Guns and Birds. What else do you need? Its going to be one of those films that gets your heart racing and means you can switch off your brain. Its got my vote.

Wow!  That was laughably bad.  The lowlight being that bird delivering her awful lines like she's never spoken before, let alone acted.

Jason Statham continues his not necessarily demanded rise to super stardom.

I'm all for big, dumb fun, but the look of the thing makes it seem like a commercial or even a highly expensive YouTube video. But I won't judge it on that!

Seems like Jason "I can make any accent sound cockernee" Statham has put another considerable notch on his already sterling straight-to-dvd "acting" stick. I can't believe this guy was actually cool once...

Sad thing is, you just know this is going to perform ridiculously well at the box office as bovine Britain throws its hard earned dole money at crap like this, right after they've finished watching Jeremy Kyle and Hollyoaks...

Michael Bay would be proud to have made a film like this! That about sums up the potential this film has!

Did anyone seriously think this would be good? With Paul W(anky). S(hit). Anderson directing?

Yep, i always find films like this a bit insulting, big dumb-fun maybe the case, but, if you gonna do something worth doing, do it right, if not, leave it alone, what a waste of money!!!!

Looks dire.
She's awful and so is the script and it looks like it was shot on a shoestring at London Docklands. At least Doomsday had some zing to its action scenes.
This looks like a cheapo Italian Mad Max 2 rip off from the early 80s populated by stars that really need the cash.

Seriously, his films are terrible. Absolute lowest common denominator. Alien Vs Predator was the biggest collective franchise suicide in history. How someone can take two fantastic ideas and create such a bastard offspring is unfathomable. Statham's alright doing what he does, but there are better, or at least, less worse generic directors to work with. And what's the point of having machine guns on these cars if they can't actually damage each other with them?? Constantly pointless. That's Anderson...

How can AvP be considered a suicide when it made enough money to warrent a sequel?

And how comes people always rag on Paul Anderson? There are FAR worse writer/directors out there. I've enjoyed everything he's done so far, they're mindless but slick products. This looks like more of the same.

And Jason Statham is in it.

Win.

you sad fucks need to get out more. It looks like it was shot on the London Docklands? THATS BECAUSE THAT SCENE WAS SET IN A FUCKING DOCK.

how you dick heads can condem a film from a two and a half minute scene is beyond me. You're all that's wrong with the internet.

Whilst I did kind of enjoy AVP and Statham stuff, there is only so far you can get on dialogue that shit.
And why the fuck can nobody make a decent car crash scene in a film? How hard can it be?

The key phrase in my docklands statement clarkkent was shoestring as in it looks cheap like some blokes (and a lady) larking about in an amateur video.
Trailers and clips are released for people to make their assessment as to whether they'd like to see a film - it's how the modern movie world works.
If this clip been considered a representative sample of the film - and I assume that's why Empire was given it - that will entice the punters then my opinion  is that it looks awful.
So clark, if you clap eyes on two minutes of Disaster Movie and are less than amused will you still pay 6 quid to see it because by your logic you can't glean a true idea of whether a film is to your taste just from watching a clip?

Dialogue was cheesy but then the dialogue was cheesy in Crank and that was awesome. It looked like a good popcorn flick which you could watch with your mates and have a laugh whilst doing so.

Also, everyone saying it looks like a Mad Max clone... it's a remake of a film that came out before Mad Max

Sorry but i don't think the british doleheads are shelling out to go and see this at the pics, they get shite copy doovdies from the man that sells them crack and knocks up their 12 year olds.  Hard earned dole cash goes on white lightning, solvent abuse and lambert and butler.

Kinda like the look of this. Not had any Mad Max style movies for a while, The Stath is always good and who would not want Lovejoy as your Mechanic Prison Mentor.
