Amen to hoping Gears 2 is next. That said, I've still not cracked the seal on COD: WAW and Fable 2, so Lord knows why I'd buy them...

I think it is now wise to wait a month for new games, as they all seem to fall in price. I've saved a forture in the past month, buying them a month later. FIFA09, Fallout 3 and Dead Space I got all cheap.
