May have done this before, but for obverius reasons it's time to start the debate again.

1. Batman Begins (Nolan,2005) 9/10
2. Batman Returns (Burton,1992) 9/10
3. The Dark Knight (Nolan, 2008) 8/10 (on first viewing it could well go up soon)
4. Batman (Burton, 1989) 7/10
5. Batman Forever (Schmacher, 1995) 6/10

im surprised that Batman Returns is higher than Batman, i cant rember who said it, but someone once described that Batman is a film which is directed by Tim Burton and that Batman Returns is a Tim burton movie which happens to have the characters from the batman franchise, this movie is where the camp started to crawl a little back in, and Pheifer is good but De Vito was little shit

Right James bond guy is clearly on crack discount his list and over the top ratings for that matter

And to asnwer the thing about Returns as I've said many times, because of the wonderful grotic atmosphere and the way Gotham is actually a major character in the film, plus the knockout perfromacnes from Walken, Phifler and Devito(who is far from shit my friend) it's quite a packenge. The first Batman still leaves me a little cold unlike some i think the extra villains in the follow up make a huge difference.

Well I thought I'd unwind watching this after an overnight flight in cattle class from Newark. So I don't know how much the film is to blame, but Batman or Bruce was being trained by Liam Neeson as a ninja, which seemed odd. And I drifted off. I had a similar experience with POTC: Dead Man's Chest. But that didn't even rouse me again. Probably because the best thing in the original seemed to be missing (no not Cptn Jack), Geoffrey Rush.

I have to add that I've seen other films in similar circumstances and I've stayed awake, so I do hold the films a bit guilty.

1. Batman Begins (2005) - 9/10
2. Batman Returns (1992) - 8/10
3. Batman (1989) - 8/10 (comes second to Returns because of the Prince soundtrack)
4. Batman Forever (1995) - 5/10 (it's not as bad as what was to come, but it's still pretty bad.)
5. Batman: The Movie (1966) - not even sure what rating to give it, but it's a damned sight better than the nipplefest that was Batman & Robin. Hell, you have a film with Uma Thurman and Alicia Silverstone, and we see Batman's nipples?! What gives?!)

Not seen The Dark Knight, but that will be rectified in 2 hours and 45 minutes... Or rather, it will start to be rectified as that's when it starts...!
