Sounds promising. Just hope that by the time the films released we aren't all suffering from super hero movie fatigue...

It would be nice to see a lil berserker rage going on.
I found Wolverine a lil too timid in X-men 1-3, the only time he even slightly looked like going mental was in number 2 when Stryker's guys broke into the mansion.
Really looking forward to this one.

sounds good BUT I really hope Dead Pool is in all the proper comic garb as opposed to a red T-shirt despite how much my wife wants to see Ryan Reynolds mug and bear chest in every film ... !!

Well it certainly sounds promising. Looks like alot of action sequences which is what we should expect from a movie of this calibre. I like the idea of Gambit being in the film. That will look promising. But overall the movie itself is looking HOTT!!!

I really cannot wait to see this film. Ace!

So, will the footage be online?

Sounds great. Pity we've got to wait a year...

Officially: Doubtful. It smells like an unfinished teaser so i wouldn't expect to see anything before the teaser.

Unofficially: You can be sure that someone had a mobile camera out at the con. Keep a look out on you tube. i've seen a few videos of jackmans appearance but no footage

That sounds original.

I must be the only non-Gambit fan on the planet! He has a boring backstory and gets no good storylines. The one good storyline he did get was his own trial for bringing the marauders together.

So Deadpool is just Reynolds in a red t-shirt? Can't say I'm pleased about that.

Stryker: “You were sentenced to death for decapitating a senior officer. Your sentence was carried out by a firing squad at 10:00 hours. How did that go?”
Cut to the two tied to stakes and a squad of soldiers opening fire.
Cut back to the cell.
Logan: “It tickled.”

Good to see Gambit finally make an appearance on film as well

Yeah that was good, made me chuckle as well
I agree that Gambit could be very cool if handled correctly.

Not at all.  As we know some movies have been over hyped so you see too much footage before you see it projected. Hopefully there will not be too much hype and it will feel fresh when we actually see the finished article..

Same reason he doesn't know who Stryker is at first in X2 dude: amnesia. I'm guessing that Origins:Wolverine will end with him losing his memory and beginning the drifter life he's living at the beginning of X-Men 1.

Unless they want to leave it open for sequels-to-the-prequel in which case we may get some more clashes. As long as something happens to him to make him forget it all by the beginning of X-Men, it's pretty much a blank canvas. In the comics I thought it was the trauma of the adamantium injection itself that caused his memory loss, but I could be wrong, and even if I'm not, doesn't mean the film will follow it.

Super-stoked about this now, btw!!!!!!!!

Sounds great and very promising so far even though I'm still not sold on Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth. I just want to see some Deadpool then I'll be happy with everything.

But hasn't anyone else picked up on the fact that the dialogue, the scenario, the whole thing sounds a little shit? I have no misgivings about a Wolverine movie (even if we already got a Wolverine trilogy) but this is a little lame.

No your not. I can't stand him. It was around the time of his introduction that the X-comics started to slip into decline in the 1990's. Cable and Bishop are both just as bad too.

I'm tentatively looking forward to this movie, but am finding it hard to get too excited after the disappointment of X-3. Plus I love Deadpool but hate Ryan Reynolds, and if Deadpool really is just gonna be Reynolds in a red t-shirt then I'm going to be massively pissed off.

I fully agree with you mate. Gambit, Cable and Bishop were/are crappy characters. Fantomex was Grant Morrisons pastiche of Gambit and he tured out to be a much better and cooler character. "I'm not French, I just like the accent" Ace.

The Comic-Con footage is fucking badass, I gotta admit this movie is looking good. Jackman seems even more ripped than he was in the X-Men movies and Schreiber looks like the Sabretooth part fits him like a glove. Reynolds looks shit as Deadpool though, like some second-hand Red Ninja, I really hope that doesn't represent his look for the duration of the film. Nice to see a glimpse of Gambit's cards as well.
