everyone seems to be saying that this trailer is only good for fans of the graphic novel...which is weird because i hate comics, and have never read a graphic novel, and my knowledge of the Watchmen consisted of "hey there's areally hyped up comic book film coming out" and I gota say the trailer absolutely rocked. I'm now fully prepared to give My Snyder another go...
And if you read the comic con stuff, the movie is actually very bloody...the trailer was just toned down a bit...

L:mysweetrhodora. So you've discovered someone making a spelling mistake on the internet. Well done. Have a biscuit. All I’m saying is don't be shocked when 2009 rolls around and this film turns out to be less than average. Hellboy, Spawn, Ghost Rider. All kid-friendly, CGI heavy wastes of time. This film will be no different. In the words of Peter Parker in Spiderman 3, 'I'm done trying to convince you.'

I read a pretty interesting interview with Moore on EW a couple of weeks ago (here). He's got a graphic novel out in April next year and he's working on a novel. The interview covers a lot. He loves The Wire too!

Thanks Acho you have done well.

Just finished reading the Graphic novel...

I do try.

What did you think of it? It's being discussed over in the Comic Shack forum at the mo:

I really should join the debate. I do like it, but reckon I need to give it a second read some time in the near future.

It's kinda been up for a while, but this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwCMwqCCZI0) is the Comic-Con International 2008 panel with the director, actors and Dave Gibbons (Watchmen illustrator) commenting on what it was like making the film and what it was like trying to bring the characters to life.

I thought Nite Owl looked pretty fit in the trailer but I guess this was a flashback because actor Patrick Wilson (Nite Owl II / Dan Dreiberg) was cracking a few jokes about how the other actors had to workout and get in shape for their roles, but to be a convincing Nite Owl he got to eat ice cream and drink beer all day to gain enough weight to fill out his costume.   Yum...

...depicted in comic books are hard to come by i.e. possess fabulous figures aswell as acting talent. But a mediocre looking girl with an B-Cup bosom is completely unacceptable! We need a woman like Jennifer Connolly in her early Twenties.
