Haha, hell yeah you can tell he's been pumping up on steriods for years. Not sure if that helps with the windmill headbangs.

Anyone seen any good band DVD's? I watched The Berzerker DVD which was rather good and insightful. They also classed the worst gig that they've ever done as the one that I was at, due to it being too hot. I liked that a lot.

I used to love Disasterpieces, the Slipknot live DVD.

The Slipknot (sic)nessess dvd is superb, recorded at their headline show at Download. There's also Maidens Flight 666, Machine Heads Elegies and Lamb of Gods Walk With Me In Hell. Look out for The Big 4 dvd which features Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax on one bill.

There's also a Wacken 3 disc boxset out there which was filmed at the 25th anniversary. Its got tons of bands on it plus backstage randomness featuring lots of hairy drunk Germans drinking beer from Viking horns.

Wacken is awesome, went a few years ago now and keep meaning to go back but tickets sell out fairly quickly. Lost in a field in Germany 20 mins after putting my tent up as i went on a weed hunt, fast forward 4 hours later i've drunk most of a litre bottle of jager and can't remember how i found my tent.
Iron Maiden opening with Churchill's speech was epic

Played with Defeater, they were ok. Not really my thing.
Heard some horrible things about TA as people so haven't given them the time of day.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are some stories in circulation about TA that doesn't put them in a good light.

On a different note, Pulling Teeth have split up recently which is a shame, as they were a shit hot band.

Pulling Teeth were fucking fantastic. A few mates used to be in a band that toured with PT accross the states a couple of years back.
They played Gilman St, jealous :(

My old housemate put them on a couple of years ago in a tiny pub room in Leeds, it was excellent. They stayed at our house after and were lovely. Something about a band being a set of nice guys makes me like them so much more.

Also, more gigs in tiny pub rooms/living rooms please.

The same housemate used to put gigs on in our living room and they were so much fun. We once had D-Rail, The Plight and Dead Swans play one afternoon before they were all due to play at some bigger venue in the city centre. Such a good gig.

TA's last album was rather masterful in my view. Seeing them live next month looking forward to it...

Rob ex-Dead Swans is playing guitar for a project me and some others are working on. Debut gig will be with Integrity in June. Not bad, heh.

There's a few bands I like playing but I'll be honest - the main draw on that poster is the phrase 'metal karaoke'.
