Another vote for seeing the Crystal Lake thing. 7 hours? Let's hope it puts in the excised gore scenes that the US censorship board cut out and have never since seen the light of day.

Today is a great day. I've finally watched The Burning and it was everything I hoped it would be. Loved it. The US Scream Factory Blu Ray does the film justice to boot. I suspect it's never looked as good. Colours are vibrant, detail is there for the most part and the grain is intact. Can't ask for much more than that. Don't get me wrong its an old and low budget film so it doesn't suddenly look like a blockbuster, nor should it. Haven't got to the extras yet. But yeah loved it.

Just in case I've over sold it and you get The Burning BD and are disappointed by my gushing DK. I should mention that the Blu-ray.com review is pretty much spot on as to the picture quality.

Man I wish there was a sequel.

Does anyone know if The Collection (German Blu Ray) is uncut? I emailed the UK distributors and there's no plan for a UK B.R. release.

Bad news Bozz. According to bluray-disc.de its cut. There are other region B options but I suspect the German release woulda been cheapest.
