I noticed that film on Play.com and I don't think I'll get it...I've just ordered a shit load of horror films as I got paid today
I've ordered a 2-Disc special edition of one of my favourite slasher and horror films of all time A Nightmare On Elm Street 7.99 from Play.com

Killer Klowns From Outer Space is not in any way shape or form a slasher movie. Predator is more of a slasher than this. It's a sci fi horror comedy if anything

Yeah i know it isnt dude but there needs to be a good slasher movie with clowns in it, the idea of a manical clown with a grudge sounds like a good movie to me, set it in some creepy ass woods like Just Before Dawn and give it a kick ass soundtrack like halloween.

fav slasher movies;
Friday the 13th New Blood and Final Chater
The Burning
Halloween
Prom Night
Just Before Dawn
Black Christmas (The Original)

But you've just admitted that it's not a slasher movie though, so regardless, wrong thread. Why not pick The Clown at Midnight if you want a slasher movie wioth a clown as the killer.

I was abit dissapointed in The Clown At Midnight it had some good moments thou especially the look of the clown and the location, Question for u iv not seen Scarecrows 1988 or heard much about it is it any good cos its being re released on DVD just wondered is it worth getting cos iv noticed its only been given a 15 certificate.

well a 15 certificate has nothing to do with the quality of a movie. I found Scarecrows pretty boring. It's more of a monster movie rather than a slasher

to my knowledge Just Before Dawn has always been uncut. I have two VHS pre certs but never got round to buying it on DVD, unless the DVD is cut (which i didn't think so) then every version is cut free.

It's been a while since I've watched it, I need to check. I'll get back to you on that one.

One thing i want to start doing for this thread is a slasher a week movie review type thing. I'm gonna watch a slasher every week and then write down my thouhts on it ina  form of a review type thng. I wanna do it to highlight some slashers that some of you posting here may not have seen, which I highly recommend. I think it would be fun nd a good chance to promote some unsung gems. I'll even link to places that they can be bought! At least that's the plan! I'll try and get em posted on the same day every week, so there can be some consistency.

I enjoyed it must admit i was getting a bit bored half way through but was re energised at the ending good twist! I watched BTK last night i was really disapointed i was hoping it was gona be about the life of Dennis Radar...similar to the Bundy film... but it isnt its a fictional plot based on the Chracter BTK....very disapointed But the good thing about it was that Kane Hodder did well!

so there's gonna be a remake of House on Sorority Row, a cracking slasher from the mid 80's. I think it was made in 86 but i really harks back to the early 80's slasher movies. Hopefully they'll do a straight remake, rather than try and change it a la Prom night.

Not sure what you guys think about dressing up for Halloween (parties and the like) but I've noticed some neat stuff in Tesco. They're selling 'Adult' halloween (not the film) costumes. First time I've seen anything this good in somewhere like Tesco, usually you'd have to go to fancy dress shops.

Couldn't find the stuff on their website, but just for examples this site has got pictures. I saw Freddy, Jason, Leatherface and Wolfman in my local store.

nice, this is one of the sucky disadvantages about the UK. In America adults can dress up for Halloween fine, but over here its only ok if its for a night out or a party.

yes and no, but no, otherwise you have to include every single serial killer mystery movie, and lets face it, theyre not really slasher movies, theyre way too classy for that lol.

Yeah man, The Burning absolutely rules

See i consider that more of a rape revenge movie than a slasher

I've not seen it unfortunately. Now is it stock slasher or something a little different? I don't know why I've not seen it yet, the only conceivable reason is that it falls a little outside of the standard slasher template, in which case i wouldn't have rushed to get my hands on it. I may be wrong?

i only heard of it after its mentioned in Scream so i got it off ebay about 6 years ago,its suposed to be a true story about a killer (who looks like Jason in part 2) stalking a killing off random people.
