Well, I seem to remember there being a thread dedicated to the master of far fetched fiction, but it seems to have vanished into the ether (probably due to a tradition or an old charter).

So, given the fact that the old thread is defunct, the answer to this is probably no, but any fans out there?

And anyone know why Necrophenia has been put back to December?    For the first time in years I won't have a new Rankin to read during the summer

I used to read Rankin's books avidly but I've fallen about 5 or 6 books behind now.

Omally and Pooley are still my heroes though.

I'm the same I used to get all of his books and loved the Brentford Triangle Trilogy (although the forth book did let it down somewhat). Over time though I have just drifted away and stopped buying them.

Same here. Used to love his books My dad was his old bank manager years ago and I got to interview him for a school project. He called Douglas Adams a bastard. I've still got the tape somewhere.

Anybody who has a book titled "The Sprouts of Wrath" is okay in my book

I've read a fair few of his books and still have some outstanding in my pile of books to read but I have to be in a certain mood for them.  One of my favourites was "Dance of the Voodoo Handbag"

I've read only one book of his, The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse. I thought that was rather good but i never followed it up with another book. I'm not sure why.

On another note Hobbit, i'm loving that av. Salad fingers is great.
