Looks like a live action of a McBain movie from the Simpsons.

It looks like outtakes from the Crow stitched together with this lunk head in Tom Jane's pants. I rather liked the first film for all its faults but this just looks awful. I hope I'm wrong wrong wrong. I'll see when I buy it on dvd out of the bargain bin in 12 months time.

I've watched the trailer a few times and there are some bits i like. The look of the film and the obvious darkness of this look to be very well done. But there are other aspects that i'm just not convinced about yet. I'll need to see another trailer with a bit more meat in it to be convinced that Ray Stevenson can take over the role. personally i thought Tom Jane did a cracking job of the character in the last film but was let down by a lack lustre script and a piss poor nemesis in the form of john travolta.

I reserve judgement on this for the time being.

The first one was bizarre, it was like a throw back to 80's. I couldn't give two squits about this... oh, and who the hell is Ray Stevenson?

The Punisher always looks cheap, like a marvel grindhouse, they should embrace that and release straight to DVD for £7,

I'm plowing my way through Rome on DVD at the moment. Ray Stevenson is awesome in it. If anyone can pull off the Punisher (so to speak) he is your man. From the look of this trailer though, that might be a bit of an ask.

I quite liked the previous Punisher flick, despite the obvious shortcomings, I thought Thomas Jane was perfect as Castle, he really nailed the look. Some of the action was good but the rest of it was disappointing.
As for the new trailer - it just didn't feel right to me. I think of a Punisher flick as being a one man against the mob, hyper violent, Paul Verhoeven style film. It can't be less than an 18. It needs to be violent, gritty, insightful....
...and thats not what I go from this trailer.

this looks alot better than the last Punisher film. Although, as a fellow person from Belfast, i can't help but notice the slight twang in his American accent, so i can.

Now, I liked the first Punisher movie and when they said that Thomas Jane wasn't the Punisher anymore, I was surpised to discover that Rome's Ray Stevenson will replace him. Now with a new trailer on board, it looks like gripping stuff. It's very dark, not a lot of light but there's plenty of action on board and hopefully this time it will be a success.

I have to admit I was a fan of the tom jame punisher and felt it was severly under rated (watch it again, it is pretty good!!!) but this looks a bit too poo for me!!! Ray Stevenson just oes not look right & is he wearing turtle neck armour???? The real punisher would only need a t-shirt (joking fan-boys, I know Mr. Castle does wear bulletproofs.........sometimes!!!! I feel the trailer looks a bit Hitman to me and may lose out on the whole one - man army thing. also was it just me or did anyone see Jigsaw? A bit strange that he was not introduced innthis trailer as an uber-villain!!! Oh well fingers crossed!!!!

Ok i think u can see im a massive punisher fan, just watched the trailer and im kinda hit or miss on it. It does look like the budget has been shrunk. It has a dtv feel to it? Im hoping this wont effect the quality of the action scenes to much.
But it does look like its gonna be a bit more darker than the tom jane effort. My prob with the jane effort is jane always looked a bit to cleancut to be the punisher? Ive always imagined the punisher to be a bigger guy who generally looks like he could feck u up and looks like he's been in a few wars. I never got that from jane. Now with just the look of ray stevenson he def looks like he's been in a few wars. He also looks like a scary guy who u wouldnt want to meet in a dark alley so i think they got the look right this time.
Of course i cant wait for this, but i dont think this is gonna be the definative punisher movie im waiting for.

I too liked the first punisher movie....and there is nothing at all wrong with being a 'throw back' to the 80's. I agree thath it shouldn't be less than an 18 to fully glorify the violence on is not supposed to be realistic people, it IS a comic book movie after all. I will reserve judgement on this one to see how much crappy CGI they stick know, just cause they can rather than because they need to. I think it should have more the tone of Shoot em UP.....that has set the standard for cartoon violence this year as far as I'm concerned!!

This looks pretty good, he was great in Outpost, nice to see a character actor in this tricky role. Looking forward to some old school shooting. Has anyone ever done a shootout suspended from a chandelier before? Del and Rodney doesn't count!

Now, I quite liked parts of Tom Janes Punisher movie but thought it was a bit tame. I loved the idea of Ray Stevenson as Frank. He looks more the part than good ol' Tom Jane ever could. Stevenson looks just like a cross between Steve Dillon's drawing of the Punisher and that of current penciler Goran Parlov

But. What the hell is up with all the neon? Let's hope it's more Blade Runner than Batman Forever. And I wont even jinx it by mentioning another certain Bat film. Shudder.

See. Punisher, I always felt, should be handled like Dirty Harry or one of those other top quality but brutal-as-fuck 70's films.

I liked Thomas Jane in the first Punisher, I thought it was a very good film. This trailer isnt ringing any bells as far as I'm concerned. I'll probably wait till DVD for this one.

I'm loving this huge amount of first looks the last 2 days. Ben Button yester day and now this and Spike Lee's warmovie. The other 2 look pretty awesome, I'm going in sceptical here though. The chandelier was lame

Who is Ray Stevenson? Bring back Thomas Jane!!!!!!!!!!! I really enjoyed the previous Punisher movie. It was a lot of fun and not over the top even though they still managed some great action scenes. Damn shame they have made a shite sequel.

I'm interested to know what the budget was,

This looks like a load of crap, This Ray guy, looks terrible, the outfit is shit, makes him look a bit wimpy to always be wearing body armour in his battles, Least with Thomas Jane, you he wore the T-Shirt, looked like a man gone mad with Revenge, just focusing on Howard Saint, and not caring if he got hurt in the process.

Plus Jane was convincing with the emotions, this new guy looks to have the emotions of a brick.

I am not gonna see this movie, it may well make Ghost Riider and Hulk, must see movies.
