Nice, that photoshop is good,looks like Robocop. The helmet is iconic and should be preserved.
Whats witht the human hand , what the fuck is all that about! I can only assume they kept his penis too! so he can have a robotreat now and then!

Currently this suit looks like a fetish sex toy! a massive Elephant dildo!!

Yea, there were other set shots showing him having a cheeky fag, so I think it's safe to assume the lack of armoured hand in these pictures means fuck all.

I really am not against a Robocop remake and the cast is good so it has potential, but the suit really isn't doing much for me at all. I think it's main problem is lack of colour and lack of actual...er..... robot-ness. It really does just look like a man in armour, rather than the remains of a man fused with robotics. The original robo design is great, but of course too dated to copy directly. What helped it work though was how prosthetics helped build Murphys face over the cyborg elements of the head, and the illusion that the torso wasn't really there as it was made to look a lot thinner than the upper body. It really gave the impression that there wasnt much left of Murphy underneath. This update doesnt really do that, at least not in these BTS shots. The script did suggests various modes that Robo would go into, and it's possible these could be shown via colour or design, so this may not be how we see it during the full movie. Plus I seem to remember the script reviews suggesting there was a scene showing Murphys wife seeing inside the suit and effectively seeing that there is nothing of her husband left. If that happens then maybe it will sell the idea that this really is a cyborg rather than a Stark Industries style man in suit. Hope so. I still have faith in a Robocop remake.

 Are we certain that this pic is of the finished Robocop suit?
There is the possibility that this is a mk I suit. Or that this is the finished suit minus CGI enhancements. Could it be that this is merely some sort of futuristic police issue body armour being worn by Murphy before he becomes Robocop? That would fall in with the opinion of many that it looks like "Batman armour"

It's possible this new Robocop going to have The Terminator vibe. As I mentioned before I'm not impressed with the new design because it not machine like. Normally remakes visually update their monsters yet this new Robocop feels cheap and underdeveloped compared to the original design. However I did mention this could have The Terminator vibe and overtime Robocop will retrive a lot of damage. From the beginning appearing to be a cop to near the end definitly a machine. Like the T800 which start off as a cloned human but overtime it's revealed it's a machine. However the new ED-209 also look shit so this The Terminator vibe could be completely unrealistic.

Lois is a guy now? Why they have to mess around with that? When Cornish was cast I was like "Yep. She'll be a great Lois" but no, she's stuck in what I'm sure will be the bland wife role. Zzzzzzzzz.

Not all CGI is rubbish and not all Stop-Motion is great.
But if you can combine the two then Robocop2 could certainly be improved in that aspect.

 CGI if done properly is brilliant, Robocop 2 does look a bit dated but I've always thought the stop motion with Cain and ED209 added a level of raw meaness to those robots. They can CGI the fuck out of the new Robocop movie as long as it looks realistic.

 Re. the new look : anyone recall how Weller looked in uniform before he became Robocop?

Well kind of like a dumbed down version of what the new Robocop looks like now. So maybe his body armour is just an improvement on actual 'protection' worn by Cops in the new movie .... plus gadgets and accesories of course. Would make for a more realistic version methinks.

 Well technically it's far less realistic - the robotics were made to look like a car with heavy metal plating and visible mechanics like scene where Bob shakes his new hand. Something that would function, rather than just a crazy future cyborg. This just looks like a suit. It's not Robocop, what they have here is Cybercop... or Spacecop....

I really think the suit looks rubbish but if it's the only problem with the film then it'll be a small gripe. Captain America's dire Megamind helmet didn't ruin Avengers after all.

Another in a long line of things that only work well in the comics and that cant translate well to the big-screen (because on the big-screen its physical and real).
I also had slight issues with M.Fassbenders final Magnetos outfit in X-Men: First Class: Clicky!
I respect the overall nod to the Comic appearance but I felt they should have been more original.

 Some more set pics are doing the rounds and they seem to confirm that the uncovered human hand is part of the costume design. That is such an odd thing! They also give a better look at the helment and red visor and his gun. I dunno, I really want to see a decent reboot, but the suit design is so uninspired and just doesnt feel robot like. Hope it improves in official pics/trailers etc

 Yep,the hand thing is abit of a risk,to say the least.
I originally gave it the benefit of the doubt primarily on the basis that it would be a CGI image ie editing his Hand out of the concept due to what ever the purpose of that scene intended,but it seems not.
The rest of his suit looks ok.

There is no way to make the human hand acceptable, i am only hoping to god its going to CGI later on!!. This element alone is a nail in the coffin of this shit-bucket remake!. THE main element of Robocop it the idea that the remnants of a man are fused into a MACHINE!!!. The most brutal scene is not when his hand is shot off by Clarence, its the scene where he tells the techs to `lose the arm`!! FULL BODY Prosthesis. If the film makers haven't got that basic concept of Robocop, why the fuck are they even allowed to call it Robocop!! and piggy back on the original. Call it Cybocop or Private Dildo !!. pack of arseholes.
