I remember reading ages ago that there was potential for a remake of Robocop, but I don't ever remember hearing anything official to say it was off the ground. These pictures are from a licensing Expo yes? Is it possible the company with the rights is putting the idea of a new Robocop film out there without any actual commitments or deals being made? You know, they put the word out, see if there is interest, show that they're happy to aim for a release date and see if anyone wants to back it? Doesn't this kind of thing happen all the time in Cannes? If it is true, if a deal is done and production on a new Robocop movie is going ahead, I just hope it's being done as a continuation and not as a remake. Erase the shitty sequels and tv series, use Verhovens original as your set up and do a new sequel. Don't remake! Also, get some talent involved. In my heart of hearts, I don't think it will happen. I honestly think this could just be from the company owning the rights putting the feelers out. If a new film is being developed, I'd guess that poster has fuck all to do with the final look and feel of the film. It just looks like a CG drawing, not a real actor in costume.
