We've all agreed that trade-ins are a rip-off and not all of us can afford £40 for a new game every week. So why don't we follow the lead of the DVD Swap Shop and start swapping our used games.

Unfortunately, due to some unscrupulous posters it has been necessary to create some rules.

The Rules

1. You must provide a photo of said game with a piece of paper next to it with your Empire username handwritten on it. This will help towards proving you actually own said game.
2. If trading Xbox 360 games you must provide your gamertag.
3. Once you've agreed a trade with someone, leave the rest to PM between each other, we don't want the thread being cluttered.
4. All swaps must be sent via recorded delivery and a tracking code must be sent to the recipient on the day of posting.
5. After the swap you must leave feedback in the thread (a rating out of 10 so a percentage of all that persons trades can be made) of the person you swapped with, this will help to keep track of who the reliable swappers are.

What to do if you don't receive a game?

1. Give it a few days, remember there can sometimes be postal problems. If after a few days you have yet to receive your game send a PM to the sender and enquire about the game.
2. After a week and still nothing, use your tracking number to try enquire about the game with Royal Mail. If Royal Mail can't help contact the sender again to discuss either getting your game back or another form of compensation.
3. Leave feedback of sender in this thread.
4. Contact moderators, and police if you feel it's necessary.

Eligibility

- You must have 200 posts or more.
- You must be able to comply with all the above rules.

There will be two lists, a recommended swappers list and an avoid swappers list. Feedback from previous trades is the only way to make it into either of the lists.

- If you are new to the thread, and have agreed to swap with someone on the recommended swappers list you will have to send out your game first and only once the recommended swapper has received your game will your game be sent out. This is another step to avoid the scamming that has previously taken place.
- If you break any of the rules you will appear on the avoid list and will be banned from participating in the thread again.
- If two new posters to the thread want to swap, then that's perfectly fine and they must send their games at similar times and not wait for the other person to send the game, while following the guidelines above, however you will not be able to make the recommended swappers list unless someone on that list can vouch for you or you swap with someone on the list.

Disclaimer - this swap shop is not organised by Empire or its affiliates.  Participants are responsible for getting the recipient's details and posting the DVD once a swap has been agreed.

i.e:

Looking for any NES games.

If there is no update to a trade  within four weeks I will be e-mailing out queries to see if the game has gone to another party and if no reply is sent the item will be removed from the offers table.

Ditto. I've had a good swap with DJ Satan plus I was one of the one's ripped off by ndy_vrg and to be fair I kept up my end of the deal that time as well .

As for making an offer, don't fancy Tenchu Z and I've completed King Kong. Plus I swapped a couple of games at Blockbuster over t'weekend so haven't got much to swap at the mo. I may have Lego Star wars: Complete Saga up for grabs in a bit. Not that far from rinsing it now and I doubt I'll play it again after that.
