 I haven't seen that, but looking at iMDB it looks like a nice fit. Surreal (Blue Velvet), dystopian (Brazil), black comedy (Strangelove) and French (Love in the Afternoon, A Bout de Souffle). Good selection.

I'm impressed with The Two Towers inclusion, it doesn't get as much recognition on its own as the other two films.

 How about Shoot the Pianist? Another homage to classic Hollywood gangster flicks (like Once Upon a Time in America), from a French new wave director (like A Bout de souffle).
 
They Made Me a Fugitive is an interesting companion piece to The Third Man, with Trevor Howard as a well-spoken hood being chased by cops and criminals alike when he refuses to deal in drugs. Murky, unusual homegrown Noir has good acting and photography and a killer punchline.

Good call. I also think it's the film that benefits the most from the extended version DVD. With Boromir's scene being a highlight.
