The trailers make it seem like its going to be a 12. The village was dissapointing and Signs strayed to far away from the main plot line.

I love everything he's made so far (except Lady), so I'm keen on seeing this. The clip wasn't really the most exciting one ever, but Marky Mark seems good, the tense seems fine and even the director was shaking on anticipation. Can't wait to see this, bring it on!

I think his voice is going to annoy me, seems oddly whiney. Still looking forward to this though the hyperbole he was trying to sell at the start didnt connect with me, people shivering in the street after watching? Doesnt happen anymore...

the part at the end "we lost contact" "with whom?" "everyone" Reminds of of the sixth sense "I see dead people!" line

I have got such mixed feelings about this film . . . I love Shyamalan when he's on form, and its good to see him returning to darker movies, but this whole film seems like such a blatant copy of 'The Andromeda Strain' (or at least the book of it) that i expect Crichton could sue . . . the first time i saw the teaser trailer i thought 'Andromeda Strain', i actually wondered for a while if it was going to be a modern remake. And I'm still not sure about the casting of any of the leads . . . but i suppose half the joy of Shyamalan is in his unconventional ways, he at least dares to be different, and doesn't seem to care what the critics think.

I don't really care about M.Night being the flavour of the day or not. I cannot wait to see this one! "Signs" is still the movie my 14 y.o. cannot watch without us... and she's seen the "gorn"... Saw and co. Everything this director has made has triggered fears i even did not know i had. Swing away Night!

First review I've come across (the reviewer states that what he saw might not be the final version).

Seems well-written and genuine enough...

If it IS genuine, then ouch!.....

The Village gets a bad rap, I liked it alot, it's a character piece and the plot almost seems incidental.Signs is all atmosphere and wonderfully well done, The Sixth Sense is plot twist with a movie wrapped around it, but Unbreakable is the one I think stands head and shoulders above the others,it's a true original and unspoiled by a tacky needless sequel. As for The Happening, I'll wait until I see it before I pass judgement, but those reviews aren't encouraging.......

The thing is, I think these bits are going to be in the first 20 minutes primarily and then just occasionally hit you through the rest of the film. I think The Happening vs The Incredible Hulk will be a very interesting weekend at the cinema both in box-office and creative terms

So... that was supposed to be scary/atmospheric/whatever, right? I must've watched the wrong video. Looks dull and poorly acted to me.

Hold on.

Did he just compare his movie to The Exorcist and The Godfather?

No, he said he wanted to include scenes like that of The Exorcist and The Godfather where there is intense scary visual moments, into his film.

This is it?I love this man, i really do, The Village was not very well liked bt i enjoyed it and dare i say it, Lady in the Water, but even with the R rating, horrc scenes etc... its going to tak a hell of a lot more for me to pay to watch this one.

Remember when M Night was the industry darling? Now he's just a below-par schmuck who can't seem to break away from his early creations. Not that dissimilar to Tarantino actually - both have such potential, both seem to be stuck on auto-repeat. This looks like a steaming pile. Never bothered with Lady in the Water, and I'm sure I won't with this.
