Well, my Rockers v McMahons theory is out of the window on two counts:
a) The match between Shawn & Vince is official
b) WWE have been forced to release Marty Jannetty!!

His probation agreement restricts his travel movements, to the point where they only discovered on Friday that he's not allowed to go to Alabama for this week's RAW.  Until they can get the travel restrictions lifted, he cannot play any further part in the HBK/Vince storyline - and it was lined up BIG style for tonight.
Apparently fans have been sending lots of emails to Vince, having a go at him for getting rid of Jannetty, but MJ has come out and said Vince is NOT to blame, and it's just a bad part of the situation.
There are still high hopes that he can get the restrictions lifted before WM 22.

It seems a bit pointless really as originally, when there were only a handful of Pay Per View events (Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series & Wrestlemania) it was a nice fill in.
Now however, we have at least 1 PPV every month so it makes NO sense at all.

The main reason it makes sense from a business/market reach point of view is that it's on NBC. That's a bit like being on BBC One. Or something.

It's a weird situation this. When I first saw the news on WWE.com, I figured it was a work. Then the news sites started reporting it was a shoot. Now it seems like it's a work again to explain Marty's (temporary?) absence.

I guess if it's mentioned at all on the show tonight, apart from replays of last week, we'll know it's probably a work.

I hope the Jannety absence thing is a work. It would be brilliant to see him back in the ring again. The last time the Rockers were together (about a year ago), they looked great together and hadn't lost any of their touch since their heyday back in the late 80's/early 90's.

I watched Raw this morning as my daughter decided that I wouldn't sleep at all after 3.30........

Firstly - Marty Jannetty........ he got a brief mention at the start.  Vince stated that Marty made a good decision in not kissing his ass, as he could take it out on HBK.  However, because he didn't, there's no contract and Jannetty will never be seen in a WWE ring again.
That was the last reference made - and it was 5 mins into the show.

As for Raw itself...... not too good.....
Vince announced that Shane would face HBK in a match later in the show.
Also announced that it would be Show & Kane v Masters & Carlito for the title at WM 22.

Shelton v Flair for the IC was pretty poor.  Ended within 3 mins thanks to DQ against Shelton.  Seemed like Flair had it with the pin, but ref decided to DQ instead.

HHH v Kane - solid enough match, abruptly ended though by the interference of Masters.  HHH with possibly the worst Pedigree EVER!!!

Announcement by Teddy Long that Money In The Bank will involve 3 Smackdown stars, who would win their places in this week's show.

Nice drugging of HBK by a very sly Stephanie - looking mighty pregnant, and even BIGGER boobs.

Wasn't interested in the Candice Playboy thing...... although the turn of her and Victoria against Tori was added in.

Shane v HBK was cack..... HBK did a good job of acting drugged.  No surprise at the win for Shane, swiftly followed by Vince winning a match straight after (well he pinned him).

Eugene v Spirit Squad - needless to say, hit the fast forward......

Lita v Maria - forward....... Foley in at the end and Edge nails him, then accepts challenge.

Show v Cena - didn't really watch with much interest.  HHH stands at top of ramp with the Game-hammer.......  Match ended pretty much by intervention of Carlito & Masters.  Cena wins with F-U..... and the look on HHH's face was priceless!!!  Lip reading "Holy shit" and "No fucking way".........

Pick your SD! three for Money In The Back. Remember a lot of people already have matches. My set would be these guys:

I would really want Burchill in there but that pirate gimmick will never go with the flow.

I'm guessing Regal or Finlay (with his feud with Lashley) will be replaced by Delap 'Giant' Singh. That is if Lashley and Finlay don't feature in the MITB with Singh as the other guy.

RAW was pretty poor this week. Just the main event was good really as it continued the Cena/HHH rivalry in good fashoin. I don't think the WWE are gonna take the feud to a big extreme at this ponit. I think they'll save that for after Mania, maybe for Backlash.

Vinne Mac's big man fetish continues. Benoit would kick that Delap Singh's ass (that's if he goes to Smackdown).

Sadly, it seems that we won't be seeing much more of the The Juniors. I'm really gonna miss good old Super Porky:

World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the releases of the following , Tsuki, Pequeno Violencia, Octagoncito, Piratita Morgan atalents (Mascarita Sagradand Super Porky) that make up the SmackDown Juniors division. WWE wishes them all the best in all their future endeavors.

Also, my predictions for the three Smackdown superstars to qualify for the Money In The Bank match: Matt Hardy (seems like an obvious choice), Booker T and Bobby Lashley.

Good Smackdown this week and pretty solid booking all the way through. The Divas Uncovered match was godawful but everything else worked as well as expected. Paul Burchills pirate debut exceeded my expectations and he finally got to use that awesome C4 finisher.

Oh yeah, it was "So" great to see Burchill finally perform that amazing finisher. And to be honest, i kinda really enjoyed his little pirate gimmick.

Completely forgot to watch Smackdown.....

Just a reminder that Saturday Night's Main Event is LIVE on Sky Sports 3 at 1am on Saturday......!!!!

Currently, the card is:

Cena & HHH vs Orton, Mysterio & Angle

HBK vs Shane McMahon (Street Fight)

Boogeyman vs Booker T

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs JBL (Beer Drinking Contest)

I think that covers about 80 mins, so at least 1 more match likely to be announced.

Seems pretty average to me. The 3 on 2 handicap match sounds good, and it will be great to JR return. Bad thing is though is that he's not coming back to RAW. His RAW days are over.

Saturday Nights Main Event tonight at 1am on SKY SPORTS. I'll definitely tune in but i doubt it's gonna be very good. You never know, it may be a good watch. The Austin return will be interesting.
The buildup for Wrestlemania seems to be pretty crap on RAW but good on SMACKDOWN. That's the thing with Smackdown at the moment, it's the better show , and it is better on a consistent basis. Before Christmas i would've laughed at the notion of Smackdown being better than Raw, especially since their roster was poor. Batista was injured, Eddie had just passed away, Rey wasn't ready for the big just yet. It just seemed hopeless for the brand.
RAW on the other hand was flying high and had a lot of talent. Also Eric Bischoff was running the show and things were good.
Since Kurt Angle came on Smackdown the show has been solid every week. And since Vince took over on RAW things have gone downhill. RAW still on occasion do produce a good show but not on the level of Smackdowns.
Raw have got the talent but it's being used as effectively as the other brand.
Wrestlemania card doesn't look too bad there's nothing that screams out BUY ME! Summerslam last last year had Hogan vs HBK. What has Mania 22 got? Cena vs HHH. Could be good but it's no Wrestlemania seller. Certainly one of the lesser PPV's but not Mania.

I was suprised by how good it was. There wasn't much wrestling but i didn't notice because everything was non-stop entertainment. It was an important night for the WWE to hype up Wrestlemania 22 and they did a great job of it. That chokeslam on to the casket was sick.

I thought Saturday Night's Main Event was excellent throughout. Really good stuff. And an interesting follow-up on Raw as well. Mick Foley's pieces on both shows were particularly good, and I'm glad to see the Trish/Mickie feud is building up very very well. I can't say I'm getting all that excited at the prospect of Cena vs HHH, I'm sure it'll be a decent match, but I'm not really bothered about it. Not really the kind of reaction needed for a WM main event.

I think the triple threat match between Mysterio, Orton and Angle should be the proper main event. After all the Royal Rumble winner should always be in the real main event of Wrestlemania.

I've been dsmayed by the WWE and vince as of late. The whole storyline of using the late great Eddie Guerrero in the Rey Mysterio/orton storyline was I felt in bad taste, what made it worse was to see Vickie his Wife get involved, Eddie was an amazing Wrestler and is sorely missed by Smackdown and WWE, but let him rest in peace please. Drop this rather twisted thing, it's about as welcome as the whole Who's your Papi Dominic storyline! Never should children be used to boost ratings. That said i hope Rey wins, I don't care for orton, he's arrogant and cocky and bullies women, oh tough guy.

As for The HHH vs Cena, I am loving the build up for this fight, even though the match itslef will be a total wash out, Tripper will have stamped his feet to Steph and Vince until they give the title. Cena is a good wrestler, is he gonna be the next Rock or Goldberg, or Austin, no, but I feel he was pushed to the far to soon. Give him a break fans, You all cheer when he comes out then boo when he starts to fight whats up with that. Madness I tell you madness.

I also didn't like the whole Steph spiking a drink thing, you should never show that, as kids watch these shows and do like to copy people, so Vinny Mac, you've just help create hundreds of future rapists.

For real wrestling you should watch TNA; thats what WWE used to be about!!! God How i miss those days.

I would like to say that I never knew of this forum until today. I have some comments to make regarding the tragic, tragic loss of a true legend Eddie Guerrero; I found both memorial shows to truley moving, the bit that got me was the video clip on Raw that was accompained by Johnny Cash's version of Hurt, truely fitting, and did reduce me to tears, also Triple H's, Beniot's, Rey and Chavo's video tributes were all deeply moving, Though also felt for batista he was really devastated. I appauld john cena, what he did at the end of Raw was a mark of a truely class act. I have never seen such respect from such a young man, Orton never wore an Armband and never showed much emotion. HBK vs Rey was the best match of the show, and On Smackdown hwen triple H came out and just started at that lowrider you could see just how much the passing of Guerrero has hit himand all the wrestlers of WWE and Tna and the world. Wrestling will never be the same again. I have just read guerrero's book, apptly titled " Stealing Life, Cheating Death" Vince put a foreword in it, and eddie mentions at the end he was just feeling strong enough to be Champ again. I was glad to see Edge wearing an EG band at survivor series. he went up slightly in my book with that mark of respect. I still don't like him much.

I would just like to end with....... Eddie thank you, Wrestling misses you and rest in peace.

Oh if your wondering why Edge lost the title to Cena at the Rumble thank Triple H and Steph, Tripper felt that it would be bad for business to have two heels at the main event of Wrestlemania 22. Of Course no shock here Steph agreed with him and they pressured WWE top brass into switching titles again. God Damn The McMahons and God damn Triple H. All because he wants to beat Flair. I wish WWE had interviewed The Rock re the death of Eddie Guerrero the man is a true professional, and always thought very of Eddie when he came back to the WWE after he got clean. We need you Rock, Come Back

I can't remember the Eddie Guerrero tribute with Johnny Cash's Hurt which is surprising since that's my favourite song. I cried at the Benoit bit. Eddie was a great wrestler not because he won the title but because he put on solid matches and he was a hero not because he was always good but because he faced his problems and won.

It was the first song they used then they used the 3 doors down song here without you for Smackdown's tribute show. eddie is already missed on the Smackdown roster, and what Vince is doing to Matt hardy is just pure spite. Just because he went on the web and told the truth about that bastard AdamCopeland ( EDGE) he gets turned into a jobber for MNM. he won't win at Mania 22, They'll give it to lashley who is looking like a great prospect for the future but he'll be pushed to far to soon, Vince did this with Cena and Orton.

I'm a big Edge mark so although I was pissed at what he did there was one true villain in the process. Vince. The bastard fired Matt Hardy for making his feelings public. So professional wrestling is now a facist micronation. Hardy is one of the greatest talents available to SD! and I can't believe they're just treating him with spite.

The only people I don't want to win MITB are Benjamin and Lashley as it's both too early for them. And besides, Lashley fluctuates between bland and exciting each week. Anyway, I'm up for any of the remaining four winning (RVD probably being my favourite of the lot.)

Ric Flair: If he won then this would create good heat for his 'last shot at a title' thing they keep spewing from Coach's mouth.

Rob Van Dam: No questions asked. He should be headlining Mania against Edge and is a main eventer already.

Finlay: SD! could really use a great heel with Eddie gone. Admittadely they have two greats in Orton and JBL. With JBL nearing 40 most of the slack would go to Randy. At least with Finlay, two oldies would pull their share. Also, an international feud between Finlay and Regal would kick some serious ass. As would a tech fest between Finlay, Regal, Burchill, Angle and Benoit. I'm getting hard just thinking about it.

Hardy: It would make for a very interesting contrast between Edge and Matt if both become Men of the Money In The Bank. Also, make up for the shit treatment at the hands of the WWE.
