The 83 page thread restarts for any opinions on the WWE current or past, classic matches,PPV's, great wrestlers or just anything about WWE or pro wrestling in general.

SMAKDOWN tonight on Sky. It's proper crap that No Mercy is on Box Office. Batista vs Eddie looks a damm sight better than Batista vs JBL. JBL has been in every PPV title match since Judgement Day 2004. It's about time he's shoved out of the spotlight.
Homecoming looks very good. No doubt the Micheals vs Angle Ironman Match will steal the show. They had half an hour at Wrestlemania which was excellent, so it would make sense for this match to have as few falls as possible.

Very good SMACKDOWN this week. Benoit vs Orton (3) was a excellent match. All three matches those two have had have been of a high quality (Summerslam 2004 and the smackdown before Summerslam 2005 are the other two).
The show was flawless and every angle worked. Even the cruiserweight thing with Kid Kash looks promising.
I'm glad Mark Henrys back. I'm probably the only one that is glad, but his character has given a sense of menace and he carries it off excellently. He's been out for too long and didn't get a decent run in late 2003/early 2004 because of injury but finally the big lug is back.
A great way for SMACKDOWN to end 2005.

They faced each other at Birmingham in a street fight and it was a hell of a fight. So seeing those two at Wrestlemania would be something pretty special.

why? HHH will win, AGAIN

I fail to see the problem. It's a necessary evil.

Oh yeah, the guy doing the Flair voice was, I believe, Matt Striker.

I figured it was him too. His Flair impression's quite rubbish compared to some of his others.

It's the first PPV of 2006 this Sunday - New Years Resolution. Some say it's just yet another PPV but it's on Sky Sports 1. There hasn't been a PPV on Sky Sports in ages. (They always rip us off). This one though actually looks good. Predicted winners are in bold
6 Man Elimination Chamber - Masters vs Carlito vs Kane vs Cena Vs Angle vs HBK.
HHH vs Bigshow
Flair vs Edge (Intercontinental Title)
I still haven't seen RAW this week but i've looked at the card for the other two matches. hey seem very strange and seem to have been picked from obscurity
Bra and Panties Gauntlet Match
Jerry Lawler vs Gregory Helms (?)

I also think Cena will walk out the champ aswell.  I really hope not.

What is it lately with the title it is only changing hands 1-2 times a year.  I remember a few years ago when the title used to exchange hands after at least 2 ppv's.

It was way more exiting then than now.  imo.

By the way by the looks of things on Mondays Raw Vince is gonna have a more 'hands on' approach, so more screwing and the evil genious could be back.  YES!

I suspect some sort of "screw job" on Michaels........  Vince wants payback for what Michaels said last week, and this would be the best place!
Not sure how it will work in the EC though.

HHH v Show will be shite.......

Flair v Edge probably the best match of the night.....

Helms v Lawler - yawn

Gauntlet Bra & Panties - here we go again

Trish v Mickie - yawn

Frankly I can see it being a piss poor PPV........

I think the Trish vs Mickie bout could be a great womens match. Certainly the most interesting angle the womens division has had in a long time. Trish has had the belt for a year. That's the longest title reign for any champion in the WWE for a very long time.
I hope HBK wins the Chamber match but i doubt it. I'm making a bold prediction here, could we see a Micheals vs Mcmahon at Wrestlemania. I'm not saying it would be any good but it could happen.

Just a question. Why do so many people hate Cena?  He gets booed alot during his promos and matches.

He used to be really popular at one time but not as much now. If there a reason behind this?

I remember this also happened to The Rock. In his later matches he got booed by alot of the crowd, but this was during the time he kept going off to Hollywood to make a film.

Rumours are that Michaels will win the EC, only for Edge to instantly invoke his Money in the Bank....... and take the title at the end of NY Revolution.
Just a rumour I've read though and personally I don't see that happening.

They're building something big for Michaels & McMahon.

I have never liked Cena but I feel the main issue with his ever faining popularity is that he's been oversaturated. Movies, merchandise, rap, wrestling. It's come to the point that WWE have significantly downgraded Cena's edgey persona in that he cuts very clean promos. Of course, this new found hostility could be because he can't wrestle.

Seriously the only professional who I think is worse is Masters.

About the Edge thing, come on! I would rather Edge invoke it at Wrestlemania in a Triple Threat with him Vs. HHH Vs. Cena with Edge coming out the winner.

Cena was finally allowed to cut loose in his promo on RAW this week. At the start of the promo he was getting a lot of boos and towards the end he started to get more cheers. When Cena was on Smackdown two years ago, he was allowed to do his funny rowdy promos but then he got stopped for doing it. I think if he does promos more often the fans won't boo him as much. When he was a heel in 2003 and did those promos, he hot loads of cheers from the crowd.

It was a hoot!

Just as a sidenote, Juventud has been released by the WWE. Aside from Mysterio he's the best Cruiserweight they had!

Have to agree with JOB. Cena's rap was pish.

As for Juventud, despite not dancing bollock naked in a hotel lobby this time around, apparently his backstage behaviour has left a lot to be desired during his stay in WWE. The reason Psicosis and Super Crazy have been coming out without him lately is becase they've specifically asked to be kept apart from Juvi so his attitude doesn't reflect poorly on them.

Starting to get quite excited about Dave Finlay's return to action. I thought his knee was totally shot and that was why he's been working as an agent for WWE since WCW folded, so it's a nice surprise that he'll be getting back in the ring. I never in a million years thought I'd see Carrickfergus Castle featured on WWE television.

Another very good SMACKDOWN this week. The promising angles are continuing. Dave Finlay seems right for the WWE and it's good the company not bringing in yet another Lasley/Masters/Lesner/Morgan/Jones lookalike.
That new tag team looks good (Gymini). But do we really need two Goldbergs. One was enough thank you.
There was not one bad note for the show this week. The main event was awesome. Mark Henry's finish was better than expected.

What happened with the G.M position on Raw.  I though Shane was gonna take over.

Was it just a ploy?.

No you just get Jeff Jarrett coming out and talking for 20, which ever WWE reject they have filtered out, Lance Hoyt filling in as TNA's token under talented steroid bigman and women that I'm not sure are women (but nice aquisition in Gayda.) Instead of focusing on WWE's badpoints, focus on TNA's goodpoints.

Agreed. I was watching it the other day and they were going crazy because there's gonna be a taboles at an upcoming PPV.
Wow! A tables match! I've never seen one of those before. Oh wait a minute they used to be on all the time. Even HEAT had them for pete's sake.

wwe rejects???? one word: Christian. I'll admit Jarret does suck but thats it theres hardly anyone else whos bad. Now look at WWE the champs are both useless the IC's on flair who is 20 past his sell by date and the rest is awash with big men who can't wrestle. masters, kane and big show loads more whos names i can't remember. The only good wrestlers they've got that get decent ait time are Orton, Benoit, Angle, Michaels and Benjamin. The problem i have with WWE is they have far too many storylines. Its fine when they actually work but like with the Austin McMahon fued back in the day but theres very little decent material these days. I don't want to sit through another woman screw job angle, or child custody, or GM courtcases. The show has too many useless angles and i don't want to watch a soap opera i want wrestling.

Sean Waltman is most definately a WWE reject. Anyway, that's what I'm saying focus on TNA's goodpoints like Captain Charisma (my favourite wrestler at present) rather then WWE's badpoints.
