Has anyone else read Sweeney Todd the novel? I have just read it and I could not believe why it has never become a major film hit before. It is a perfect cinemtic story. Tim Burton directed it in the perfect way to keep true to the novel and the musical. It is a great book, with intelligent language and fun to read, although it may take you a while if you are not used to novels. However, I reccomend it to anyone who likes either Tim Burton or Johnny Depp, or classic stories. It has the same sort of feeling as Phantom of The Opera does: both obviously went on to become great films, but boths tarted out as great books.
So: Get reading Sweeny Todd: The Novel!
