We should put the kibosh on the idea that the trailer is out in four days before it snowballs like this did - all we know is SOMETHING is happening in four days. Yes, the trailer was shown at NYCC and everyone was told it would be released in 'a couple of weeks' - doesn't mean that's what we're getting on Monday though, could just be the start of another scavenger hunt. EVERYONE RELAX.

Despite the sea of marketing and hype we are swimming in. let's get some prespective and actually look. here we have another rediculously good poster. it's just brilliant. in an age where good posters are a rarity. i'm drooling. and since i will be projecting this movie at my local multiplex come july i will be taking all the merch i can get my hands on, posters banner and the like :D yum !

I got accused of being a troll on Bond forums after I complained about the ridiculous amount of PP in the CR. The poster is cool. But accompanying orgasms from fans about the possibilty of a trailer in 4 days kind of takes the piss. There has been too many false starts and empty promises, admitedly not all necessarily from TDK producers, to get excited about the possibility of a trailer.

I think studios need to reign in their growing obsession with using the internet to mislead rather than inform. Lucas says he does it openly, and I find that insulting.

Oh but wait, I criticized a Geek God therefore I must be a troll.. boo hooo


I don't really give a shit about marketing campaigns.  The Dark Knight and Speed Racer are two of my most anticipated films of the Summer, but the only thing that concerns me is that the films kick ass and that I have a great time watching them.

All the rest is...well...a big superficial cocktease for those willing to jump onto the bandwaggon.  Any bandwaggon.  They just need something to follow.  It doesn't tell you anything about the quality of the film, which is my only concern.  The rest is kid's stuff.

That said, I think the new TDK poster looks awesome.  Composition, colour, story, style...  It's got everything bang on the mark.

Look below all the portraits very closely and you may be able to see names of cities, most of which are in America. But there is also London written below the bottom right portrait. Maybe we will have to find the people in the portraits. But THANK GOD that its coming to LONDON, whatever this is in 4 days!

Actually maybe I was wrong. They all look like ex-leaders of a country so I'm thinking I'm wrong about trying to find them. But maybe we'll have to find something else.

The boys over at the superherohype forums think they've all been on currency, but to be honest there's a million theories flying around about the connection.

Bizarrely, type in 'woodrow wilson london' to google maps and the first hit you get is Tavistock Hotel, where one of the bowling balls was... The only connection between Woodrow Wilson and Tavistock is that they pop up in the same blog that clearly has nothing to do with anything, so I think that's just a freaky coincidence.

 These are all former US Presidents/Founding Fathers (ie Hamilton was never President, but he was the bastard son of a Scottish merchant, which means he's kinda of a badass, but more on him later)

Andrew Jackson is the portrait for Chicago. Wayne Tower (The Chicago Board of Trade) is located at the intersection where LaSalle St. runs into Jackson Blvd.

Obviously plenty of scenes in the film were shot here (also the poster of The Joker faceing away with the knife and the card was located on LaSalle with the POV of the Chicago Board of Trade Building).

Don't know what might happen in 4 days, but I would put money on it happening there.

Other options might include parks/schools names after these people, but I doubt that, as the only Jackson Park in Chicago is pretty far on the South (read:not so pretty) Side of the City and is of no real signicance to the filming that was done in my Gotham.

4 days from today is Tuesday, April 29th, but do we know if they're counting today? I figure it would make more sense for whatever is happening to go down on a Monday, unless someone thought having it on TWOsday would be clever, but that would just be lame in my book.

Let me know what others think and I'll see if I can check it out

 Is anyone going along? I was expecting it to be at some time during the day, so had written it off but wikibruce's site reckons the meeting time is 9pm so I'm there with bells on. or something.

I have a suspicion that (given the location of the meeting) the trailer is going to be run in a West End cinema... total guess work (and high hopes) but you never know!
