The posters that have been released are so exciting and incredibly artistic, they're beautiful!! Hopefully the second trailer in four days time. I think I'm on the verge of exploding with excitement now.

You know how they found this poster? All the guys with phones from the cakes, bowling balls and flight packages in the US got a goddam text message.

Seems London is back in the game for whatever the Monday thing is though. Fingers crossed it is anyway.

Batman Begins was going to be a hard film to beat, but from the way things are looking, TDK may actually suceed. I'm not even as excited about Indy as I am about this - can't wait

...didn't work out too well for him then, either. Can't wait for The Dark Knight, looks amazing. Hopefully it doesn't have a shitty third act like Begins.

I would like to ask though that from now on we have a moritorium on flaming logos in superhero movies/posters. It is SO overdone.

oh my god this poster is awesome and it is probably the best so far, cant wait for the 2nd trailer. Forget Indiana, iron man, hulk, hellboy- THE DARK KNIGHT is the one to watch!

Because I don't agree with every fanwanker?

I got accused of being a troll on Bond forums after I complained about the ridiculous amount of PP in the CR. Of course once all the fanwankers had stopped trying to get Daniel Craig nominated for an Oscar ( no joke) and Casino Royale being declared best film ever, some careful deconstruction could begin. And there is a general acccetance that CR was undermined by the excesssive PP.

Now to Batman, you don't think its becoming a little frustrating to be TDK fan right now? unless of course I am considered a troll for even daring to suggest that the sun doesn't shine out of the marketing campaigns arse? If being a troll means being critical of the very thing you are a fan of than you are very sad people, and partly responsible for the bland nature of too many fan forums.

I refused to get exceited about the possibility of a new trailer IN FOUR DAYS!!

not after all these false starts.

The poster is cool. But accompanying orgasms from fans about the possibilty of a trailer in 4 days kind of takes the piss. There has been too many false starts and empty promises, admitedly not all necessarily from TDK producers, to get excited about the possibility of a trailer.

I think studios need to reign in their growing obsession with using the internet to mislead rather than inform. Lucas says he does it openly, and I find that insulting.

Oh but wait, I criticized a Geek God therefore I must be a troll.. boo hooo

I think any frustrations felt fans over what they are or aren't getting is just a result of their own expectations, we are never promised a specific thing from the individual viral games. Someone somewhere says they hope it's a trailer and five minutes later the news is everywhere that there's definitely going to be a trailer, cue whining and moaning when it doesn't happen. I'd say people need to be more realistic with their expectations, but that's not going to happen when it's something you're anticipating so much I guess, and I'm as guilty as anyone else.

Van Damme: I dont deny that everyone is entitled to an opinion, if you dont like the marketing campaign then fine - thats up to you. I disagree however with the way you attack it - and the people that are enjoying it. I don't need to grow up, I am not a fan-wanker as you so elegantly put it. I am also not getting involved in the marketing campaign - but am I excited about the trailer in four days? HELL YEA! just shame you feel the need to slag off and generalise a group of people off cos you disagree. You may not mean any harm but you just come across as a bit ignorant and childish to be honest mate. Cant we just agree that the poster looks awesome - which is what the news was about and what the thread was talking about?!

Surely these sort of campaigns can be considered new forms of the old traditional competitions where you send in your replies and possibly win something. Who out there wouldn't want one of the Joker T-shirts or Bowling balls they have given away so far. Heck as I understand it you often get a free phone as well. And just like old competitions, if you don't want to win, don't enter. It seems pointless to spend your time slating those people who do want to get involved. Surely you should be concentrating your efforts on disagreeing with Empire reviews etc instead.
