The Shining and A Clockwork Orange.

Did not like either and they're both regarded as classics. Thought it must be a Kubrick thing but i liked Full Metal Jacket and love Dr Strangelove

I would guess its been mentioned before but Snakes on a Plane, while fufilling its title obligations, fell far short of the sheer awesome we were assured would be on display.

Maybe it's not been mentioned but i'll stick by my guns form a previous thread and say that No Country for Old Men although not bad was a big disappointment for me.

One movie instantly pops into my head - The Matrix. For some reason, I have never really understood all the fuss about it.

And as somebody already mentioned, Snakes on a Plane.  Godawful, dull, and take L Jackson out of the equation and you have a direct to DVD ultra flop, like it's DVD spinoff counterparts, ie Snakes on a Train.

Don't worry, there's just not enough Eddie Murphy fat suits or Adam Sandler for them

Donnie Darko - So bad.
Apocalypse Now - Dull, dull, dull, dull....
Moulin Rouge  - Hate it with a passion. Also I wanna punch Ewan in the face.
Planet Terror - What a load of crap! Can't believe Josh Brolin is in it.

P.S. I love King Kong, Little Miss Sunshine and Titanic.

Oh! How could I forget No Country for Old Men, one of the most dissapointing films EVER. Javier did well with the American accent but that's it. Josh Brolin was waaaaaaaay better.

If not then it fully deserves to have been. I want Sam Raimi to give me back the hours of my life he took and wasted.

Also, Pulp Fiction. I don't get it. I've seen it twice and it's an okay film, but I really can't figure out the big deal. Actually that kind of goes for all Tarantino films, but Pulp Fiction in particular for being hugely underwhelming after it was very hyped up to me.

Exactly what I thought when I seen it, really overcrowded with villains in a film that just lost direction of where it was wanting to go. Venom was a really wasted opportunity.

Just when I was starting to like you, Pulp Fiction is an amazing film. It has inspired so many films since. It takes it place in my top 10 of all time and it always will.

I have to state that Mamma Mia is probably the most over-hyped pile of crap ever released.

Spiderman 3 (can't remember the hype for 2 but I was at uni at the time and probably stoned)

A general dislike of Pulp Fiction is quite common on Empire, it always has been.  I woud say it divides forumers 50/50... always hotly debated when discussed.

I get it, I just think it's a poor film, which hit a note at the right time.  I think a lot of people were drawn into the furore and hype surrounding it, and it became more of a fashion statement than piece of quality cinema.  Quotable lines and 'cool' career bolstering is pretty much all it amounts to in my eyes.

Yes. The whole Terminator franchise is one big tiresome Jesus Christ (John Connor) allegory.
