Having recently seen The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at an advanced screening I can certainly add it to this thread. Totally undeserving of the hype/critical acclaim.

Eric Roth clearly didn't learn from his mistakes in Forest Gump.

I didn't mind Juno but I did find it a bit hard to see why it was getting so much attention.  It was alright but nothing more.  Good soundtrack though, and anyone who can get Shadowcat, J Jonah Jameson and Elektra into the same film deserves a round of applause.

I know the sequels aren't considered all that great, but I thought the first POTC was an overhyped and overrated mess of a film

I dunno, the main thing of POTC was the word of mouth and strong reviews.  It was a surprise hit rather than a AAAhyped to the nines we will make it a hit whether yuo like it or not like the sequels.  still if you didn't like thats your fault for not having a sense of humour

I still think Batman Begins is better (IMO). Dont get me wrong it's still a good film & Ledger is excellent , but for me that was about it.

The Godfather: don't get me wrong, a very good film, but is it really the best one ever?

Once the 'This is Sparta' was released, it blew out of proportion, poeple were wanting to see it for it visuals and everyone was qouting it. There was a huge hype before it.

My vote goes to Team America. It was hyped up as being the funniest film ever, and it was a stinking pile of crap. What a waste of my time
