Don't get me wrong Empire. The cover looks well for a better word "incredible" but I was kind of hoping that Prince Caspian would dominate this month...*sad face* Still, theres another issue to go (for UK and Ireland anyway) before we get to enjoy the spectacle that is Narnia 2. I hope it makes the cover of the next issue. My day would be made hahaha! Can't wait to buy this. Oh it's soooooooooo cool!

or, does 3D mean, a few bumps on the front cover where the fingers are? anyway, should be a good mag.

How much would it have cost to design and engineer and then publish such a cover as this ?
Quite fascinating.

With this months issue it means my collection surpasses the decade mark, my first being May 1998 with Scream 2 on the cover. As ever, i was very happy to recieve my Empire through the post and be excited about the front cover. I then did the compulsory flick through to see what the articles to look forward to this month were and was excited by obviously the Hulk feature, the Affleck brothers et al but another bloody Star Wars feature? 5 damn pages of it? Come on Empire, Star Wars was last good in 1983, there hasn't been a good one since that, why are you still hung on to it? Put it to bed now, The Clone Wars is going to be shit and you know it. Lets just keep the faith with George for Indy, he surely can't fuck that up!

Yes there is.
I got mine this morn via the medium of the royal mail, the shower of lazy shites fetched it on time for once. It looks great.  I don't think its fair on the computer illiterate people though that you do not include reviews of such anticipated movies like speed racer, ironman et al which only seem to appear online.

...however it looks great and (jk3555) his nose sticks out a wee bit too! I'm actually really looking forward to this movie after Ang's lime green monster fighting big dogs and David Bana needing a bit more charisma - I should point out that Jennifer connoly is lovely, but what's not to like?

Gotta say something about jibjob82's post on Starwars. Seriously dude, you need to chill out about it a bit and in fact get over the fact that none of the three prequals were that good, for various reasons. I've just been to the star wars website and had a look at the trailer for the new movie and I have to say that my interest has been ignited. Perhaps it would have been a good idea for george to go straight to animation for the first three too? Rather than a half way house CGI fest that killed off a lot of the atmosphere of the orginal movies. Okay, now I'm gonna start whinging about the prequals so in the interest of practicing what you preach...

I loved the cover - the good thing is you can easily peel it off the magazine and frame it. (Well, kinda frame it...well...you can mount on the wall at least). Now wouldn't it be cool if they actually released the movie in 3D? Hulk smash! ...then duck at flying debris.

I absolutely bloody hated the cover.

Just because you can do a thing doesn't mean you should.

Between that horrible thick relief moulding on the front and the other cardboard inserts inside (you know: aftershave ads and - ho ho! - the "Xbox as the saviour of HD-DVD! info-merrcial thingy) trying to 'flick' through the mag was nigh-on impossible.

In fact, even trying to studiously absorb individual pages at slug-like speed was like gum-extraction.

Cardboard tech, my arse.

Sorry chaps: call me a bluff old traditionalist (or call me a Cab) but I really think production dropped the ball on this one.

Sorry, but there y'go.
