For those who don't have aunts in America to send them programmes, this brilliant US series starts tonight at 10pm on Virgin 1, which is available on Sky, Virgin (obviously), and Freeview.

Basically, it concerns an electronics repair geek at a local convenience store who spends his time playing video games with his best friend, and lives with his sister and her boyfriend. When his ex-roommate from college sends him an e-mail, he gets all the governments secret information downloaded into his head. The main lead actress is very easy on the eye, and Adam Baldwin (Firefly) also stars as a government agent.

It's geek meets spy, and is surprisingly fresh and funny. Sadly, because of the writer's strike, it had a shortened season. Nevertheless, it has been renewed for a second season, which is great. Happy viewing everyone!

The trailers for this have piqued my curiosity. I'll be tuning in tonight (or rather for the repeat later in the week, it's on at the same time as Num3ers!)

It's well worth a look, Gimli. I am tempted to tune in and rewatch the whole series - it's only 13 episodes due to the strike. The relationships and friendships work really well, and the spy stuff is handled adeptly too.

Plus the Candyman is in it!

And Adam Baldwin is just extra funny - makes me think of Firefly - although the characters are totally different. He does have a way of deadpanning very well.

I can't recommend it enough - caters to the geek in all of us.

And for the record I don't watch any of Mr Schwartz's previous TV outputs. Just not a fan of whining teens and their relationship woes, I'm afraid.

I'm certainly gonna have to remember to set the PVR to record this, before heading out to the cinema tonight - Chuck, along with Pushing Daisies are the last two shows that were on my "must remember to record these" lists - here's hoping it's good :)

Really enjoyed tonights episode and will be watching next week, the leading lady is very nice. Still doesn't beat Samaire Armstrong though.

I couldn't get into this. It's got the same kind of vibe as Reaper yet the guy in this, Chuck, he's pure built and he's meant to be this gawky guy. His little mate prob would have allowed me to buy into this set up if he had of been the title character. As it stands the guy who play's Chuck wouldn't look out of place in 90210.

Liked the opening action scenes, again the blonde agent gal is a bit too much like pandering to "nerd" fantasies and is nutten new. Pitty because I was a fan of The OC and I'm a big fan of Baldwin and Todd. I have enough shows to follow and it's a shame this just never got me hooked enough. Won't be tuneing in next week.

Had heard nothing but good stuff about Chuck and it didn't disappoint.  It was goofy without being stupid, got the mix of comedy and thrills pretty much spot on and despite the whole 'slacker' vibe actually had an edge to it in places.  With this and Terminator:TSCC, Virgin 1 has pulled a blinder when it comes to US aquisitions.

Give it one more episode. I admit the first episode is a little packed with the usual pilot problems but on the second episode it settles down with Baldwin and Strahovski taking up new roles for cover.

It's worth it just for her cover.

And don't miss the Comic Con episode.

Was great fun, Chuck seems like a great character and Sarah is very easy on the eyes.

Plus, Adam Baldwin is in it so we have to watch it.

Baldwin is very good in it.

Also keep the eyes peeled for the most delicious 2 episode cameo from this lovely lady.

Not as regular as I'd hoped. I remember those two episodes. She was gorgeous.

Yvonne Strahovski, plays Sarah the CIA agent.

I'm liking it. Not sure about Chuck; he's a bit bumbling but I guess that's the point. Anyone else spot the Charlie's Angels reference? Yep, the pilot was directed by McG. Also his sister is far too good looking to be so nice to her dorky little brother. Still, blonde lady is smokin hot and stuff blows up so I'm in for the long haul.

For those who missed it, it's repeated at the following times and days:

Thursday 10 April, 9pm

Friday 11 April, 11pm

Saturday 12 April, 9pm

Sunday 13 April, 7pm

Looks like those are regular repeat slots too, as the second episode seems to be repeated at those times well - according to radiotimes.com anyway.

Pick a slot that is most convenient, and robert's your father's brother!

My two cents.... I'd been waiting for this to get an airing in the UK.  I usually download shows, but for some reason never got round to it with this.  Thoroughly enjoyed it, nice set up, half decent action a few nice jokes, yea it was okay.  An easy hours TV, so I'll be catching up with the whole series shortly I think.  I simply can't watch shows on TV anymore due to the annoying as fuck ad placements (Dirty,Sexy,Money currently the worst for this!).  This, Seinfeld and Always Sunny In Philidelpia just about make Virgin 1 worthwhile (Terminator Chronicles is a massive, rancid spunk bomb of a program).

Honestly I almost forgot to post in here - I'm not exactly sure what to make of Chuck - I liked elements of it, but it didn't quite live up to the hype that I was expecting. That being said, I'm deffinately gonna stick with it, to see if I get a better hold on it, but it didn't grab me, like say The OC did when I watched the pilot episode of that.

Though I agree with porntrooper, Chuck is certainly better than the Sarah Moan-a-lot-Chronicles.
