Pretty much spot-on. What's laughable is there's two individuals who've felt the need to over-emphasise their points: "TOTALLY" and "IS gay". Over-compensating just a touch...looks like the trim needs adjusting.

I swear the whole theory started by Tarantino sounds like it comes from the mind of an immature and insecure male rather than anything else. "Tee-hee! He has his willy out!" *has a quick spy through the fingers*

I used to work with a guy who said this was his all time favourite film. Id never seen it at the time, but all the other guys used to wind him saying it was essentially a chick flick for men!

Ive seen it now, and its the kind of film you could only seem to get away with in the 80s. Its camp, its cheesy, its got a soundtrack full of obscure tunes of the time that have never seen the light of day since...but it works! They could remake Top Gun today with the same script, CGI, bring it up to date, modern music...and it would be utter turd. It was of the time, and its still good somehow, despite knowing while you're watching it that it will never be a classic. Fright Night is another one, massive personal favourite that could only ever have been done in the 80s.

She says all thsi feeling like an uber geek, sat here in my Top Gun t shirt...
