And yep, I STILL freak out in the ocean! Can't swim alone in the sea - I'm ok if others are with me, 'cos a) they keep my mind off the screaming horror of a potential shark-attack and b) I can swim pretty good, I think Jaws would get them first and be slowed down enough for me to escape.
But in reality you people are fools, blind easily-scared fools, for you don't know horror.
I saw Salem's Lot when I was four.
My Mum recorded it off TV and I pestered her for ages wanting to watch it, until eventually she cracked and said, "Fine, watch it, but don't come crying to me."

And I know, the effects are bollocks by today's standards, but that film freaked me out enough I had nightmares about that scene for six years and I still live in terror of a face outside my window and I can't watch that scene alone in the house at night.
But then I became obsessed with The Lost Boys and got over my vampire-fear!
And anyone else see The Gate? with a dead man crawling in the fucking walls and an EYE in someone's HAND??? That scared the shit out of me. And the episode of Ghostbusters, the cartoon, where that purple sludge gets on them and Ray gets an eye in his stomach....
