I'm so glad it was in 2D when they re-released last year. Not one person complained that it needed an extra dimension...

Jurassic Park which by the way is  favourite film  of all time really does not need to be seen in 3D. It just a stupid  money making exercise.

No one would ever need it in 3D... But as Dara O'Briain has pointed out, they try3D every30 years or so...

The only thing I'm worried about is, that someone - somewhere - is right now sitting and thinking "I should make a remake of Jurassic Park..."!

They are more likely to make another dumb sequel

Damn!
Well thats that idea in the bin..

I've been meaning to see this film again for sometime now.
Personally I feel this was Jeff Goldblums last good performance.

Richard Attenborough accent does jump from scotch to english on occasions.

I personally wouldn't mind another sequel as long as it doesn't have Tea Leoni's character in it. She really grinds my gears in the third one.

Is there going to be a sequel?
I've heard rumblings now for the past 5 years.

Haha, yes and PLEASE leave it in the bin! ;)

I think you're right, but I don't really care for Jeff Goldblum in general...

.... And I don't think he really knew what kind of rich eccentric (spelling?) he was going for... But he was still adorable. In a way that could only have been topped by him wearing a butterfly.

I agree. He seems like a nice enough bloke in real life but he is a hand-acting weirdo in his films.

Oh so it's not just me? Athough... she kind of grinds my gears ("You know what really grinds my gears, Tom?") too... Almost no matter what she does... she always seems slightly hysterical.

I've always been 50/50 with his acting.Sometimes he pulls off some great performances ie Fly,Body Snatchers..umm..Independance Day.
I recently saw him on TV last week for the first time in ages and his performance was, say, annoying, over the top and very much a carricature of his sort of acting skills(?).

I think Sam Neil comes out well in JP.Considering he normally played the twisted bad guy up until then.

He does I guess... I don't know, I just don't like him... I sort of wish I could say why, so it didn't sound so irrational... I'll come up with something.

I preferred JPs re-release to this years Jaws one! Always presumed Jaws was my favourite film (and of course was blown away seeing it this year) but Jurassic Park in the cinema last year was almost other-worldy/out of body good. I genuinely was welling up just when the theme came on first.

I love this film so much..........

I didn't get to see Jaws on its re-release this year (sad face), but Jurassic Park last year was indeed amazing.

Jaws is Jaws: it's always incredible. A beautiful print and audio update that showed you new things I hadn't noticed before and I had a fantastic time with one of the all time greatest films.

It was just something about seeing Jurassic Park, a lot to do with that score I think, I was just overwhelmed! Probably my favourite tscore and possibly my favourite film ever. I even sat through the credits just because I needed a little time to calm down. Sad but true.

Can't go wrong with a bit of Jurassic Park, but if anybody, and I repeat anybody, goes near it with with one of those 3D converting contraptions then.....

Didn't they get mixed up between a Velociraptor and a Deinonychus ?
Because what you see on screen is a Deinonychus not a Velociraptor.

Yeah the bigger ones were chosen for the design, actual raptors are not that big and of course not intimidating enough. Kind of confusing for a kid that was into dinosaurs that knew all this stuff way back when, but I let them off.

I remember going to the cinema to see Jurassic Park when it first came out, fantastic film

I agree re 3D, that would totally ruin it, no need to mess around with, classics will never need 3D!

Recently rewatched it. It's so incredible, I love the whole atmosphere in every scene.

And why does the CGI looks better than most movies nowadays?
