Thought there should be a little brother to the American thread.

I thought Dexter was pretty cool. Discuss.

Might put it as the ITV thread as it aired on FX a while back.

I watched season one on FX and then downloaded season 2. Both seasons are brilliant nail biting stuff. I love it so much i am rewatching from the beginning on ITV1.
Really weird watching the pilot knowing all that's to come. make sure you newcomers stick with it.

Anyone else think ITV is  strange place to find this show though? Just seems to extreme for such a mainstream channel.

Maybe they'll show the CBS cut down versions?

I thought that. I can't remember watching anything else interesting on ITV for a very long time. Variety is the spice of life I suppose.

I thought it was good, dark but funny too. One to keep my eye on for sure.

Really liked it, much, much better than I thought it would be. Looking forward to ep.2.

I liked it. Dex is a hard character to like but he's strangely appealing. Michael C. Hall was excellent.

Loved it. Antiheroes are definitely my thing and you can't get more of complex and what so easily could have have hard to like character in Dexter, but think it's played very well by Hall and can't wait for more! Agree about ITV being a different channel for it to be on, and seeing as they've also bought up The Bionic Woman and Pushing Daisies, maybe they are investing more in American TV seeing as they have hardly any discernable quality programming coming from their UK output.

I'm shocked that ITV decided to show Dexter as well, but I'm so glad that they did.

What a great show!

I'm surprised that Michael C. Hall hasn't been awarded one of the Golden Globes he's been nominated for for his performance as Dexter as he makes him so likable - at least I think so, although I do have a strange love of anti-heroes - and cool.

I love the show and I was very impressed with the first two episodes, I can't wait for next week!

I'm also looking forward to Pushing Daisies - not so much Bionic Woman - despite the presence of Anna Friel and I hope its another good investment on ITV's part.

Count me in as another Dexter fan and novice.  It caught my eye when they were advertising on FX but for some reason I didn't watch it.  Will definitely be watching all on ITV.

Enjoying the flashbacks that tells you how he was nurtured into who he is now rather than just another serial killer.

Am loving that Dexter has started on ITV, missed it on FX via getting flooded out of my house!
The books are great and so far season one is being very faithful.  His sister is incredibly irritating though (which is also true to the books, but wouldn't be missed)

It's always great to see James Remar, but somehow the teen Dexter always seems far too normal, compared to the emotionally deadened adult version. I love Dexter's boss, but they seem to have made him a more troubled character lately.

I am officially in love with Dexter and want to marry him. I'm not sure why, he's just so charismatic and cool. I think we could get past his secret murdering ways. :]

Was anyone else completely on edge during Wednesday's episode? I know I was!

Haha, I know!

I specifically meant how on edge I was because it looked like he was going to found out, especially after they found the little Cuban boy who said he saw the man who'd saved the immigrants from the "bad lady". I was so scared they'd catch him! Then my Dad was like: He's a killer, he's going to get caught eventually and he deserves to be!

I don't agree with this concept. I think Dexter is a good character in a lot of ways, the killing is just a blip. Its not like he kills bad people anyway.

I was on tenterhooks! I really was expecting Dexter to be outed as the killer. Fantastic show.

How glad were you when it was revealed the wee boy had drawn Jesus?

It was really clever the way they did it, having all the other actors look shocked then look over at Dexter. I was convinced he'd been found out. Imagine trying to talk yourself out of that one.....

Yup, Dexter's alias for getting the animal sedative was Patrick Bateman, M.D. The tone of the pilot especially reminds me of the book.

How utterly disturbing, the pair of you - the man's defining traits are being a killer and a robot, neither are good!

So Neil Perry isn't the Ice Truck Killer!

I have a sneaking suspicion that its the Doctor who is going out with Deb. He's an amputee worker, kind of sneaky looking? Come on!
