Actually Nash was referred to in street figher II.. just under a different name 'Charlie' (think Nash was the name used in the japanese version), believe they later made him 'Charlie Nash' in the US. He was the reason Guile was fighting cause M.Bison killed him mate (and teacher) Charlie.

so is this going to be a 'prequel' to the last street fighter movie or will it (please, for the sake of all that is merciful) be completely separate from that steaming dunghill.

She's great in Smallville, but as Chun-Li? I don't think so, she's too small and thin to be the character - Ziyi Zhang is an obvious, but much better, choice.

As far as we can tell, this will be totally separate from the old Street Fighter movie.
So where's Ryu and Ken then?
It's not Street Fighter without them....

with gen and charlie involved it seems like its going to be based on the "alpha" games, but when will hollywood take note, actually play a street fighter game and realise that people dont play these games for the story..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3ywu4VZXdo&feature=related this is possibly better than what the movie could be like.

The thing is Klein doesn't look like Charlie from the Alpha games, and Yune looks at least 50 years too young to play an elderly assassin like Gen. But Duncan looks spot on as Balrog without a doubt.
Anyone know if Dudley, the boxer from Street Fighter III will appear?

i dont think shes great in smallville and i dont think shes great at acting as a whole. i dont think she looks like a "chun li" (what exactly

does a chun li look like?), im not sure she could pull it off. Zhang Ziyi would be an obvious choice. Ive not seen her in house of flying

daggers, but to be honest shes coming across as one of those "i need an oriental girl who can fight...oh lets pick her" kind of girl.

(no offence to Zhang). Im sure there are other girls from asian cinema who can play the part much better than Kristin will.

so on the whole, im not really holding hopes high, enhanced by the fact that she is the central character. MCD though. yay. lol

Doubt it - he's as forgetable as the rest of the Street Fighter 3 characters.

I think that if they need to make a live action version of Street Fighter, a series would have been better, focussed on Ryu and his travels around the world with a new character each week - a bit like Highlander. Still not a great idea but Street Fighter doesn't really have a great story anyway.  I wish that the movie makers would realise this.
I think Mortal Kombat had the most potential of all the beat 'em up franchises to be half decent, and look what happened there.

Love Street Fighter, happy to see this coming to life. I hope its just better than the 1st SF film. It was pretty lame.

He was always my fave to play.
Anyway why are they doing this? Both the Van Damme starrer (sad that this Raul Julia's last move) and the anime movies were dull. Street Fighter just does have the story till make a satifacory movie. out of it
So long they bring back Kylie though I'll see it lol.

I guarntee this movie will be forgettable, the whols premise is weak and having the wide eyed Kreuk play Chun Li is an almost unfoathable choice, she can't even pull off the role she has in smallville, much less an entire movie, I think its time to leave this franchise alone.

Is this being made? The fact that the wooden girl from Smallville means this will be a flop right away! Bring back Kylie!

and Chocolate. This year is going to feature either some of the best (potentially) or most disappointing (most likely) fist-to-face fight scenes ever filmed. I hope.
