That sucks a fair bit.

SPOILERS

Just gone without an explanation. Even though George is still there. Still very much looking forward to it, just wonder how they can keep it going  with just Annie, and a little George.

END SPOILERS

That clip at the end looks like it may possibly be a setup for series 5

NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

SPOILERS!

Hated the fact we did not see Nina for the final time......

Really upset that George is no more!

But have to say, it was blinder and I did not think about the loss of Mitch once...... Set up looks good for this series.

SPOILERS

Well there was a hell of a lot going on there. Sad to see George go out like that and Nina's fate sounded pretty brutal. Just a shame it was off camera and we never got to say a proper goodbye. Maybe that was the point though.

Mark Williams was funny as the "Vampire Recorder" and his stalling tactics were very funny. I was certain that the girl in the future was George and Nina's daughter, but with the "I'm going to kill that baby" line I'm not so sure, assuming she's referring to Eve and she's not Eve herself why would she want to kill the saviour of himanity and if she is Eve why would she want to kill herself? All I'm sure will be revealed.

I was too until she said that last line

Really enjoyed it and I like Michael Socha so glad he has a bigger part, think it will be okay once the new characters settle in.

George! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I knew he wasn't staying, but I thought he'd be around for more than one episode.

Anyway, brilliant opener. Loving Tom, especially his repeated attempts to come and live with the gang. Not sold on the sarky vampire though. But the new vamp/ghost duo are promising.

[spoilers]All the present day stuff, good.  Although bit shit Nina's death and stuff being off screen.  Although I knew that was the case going in.
Liked the Hulk Out.  Like the look of the new characters, but really, really unsure about the Terminator Future War stuff.

Sadly no Becoming Human this year. Think it will have been the Old Ones clip on the website.

*minor spoilers* I enjoyed that, and I didn't think I would. Tom's repeated efforts of trying to get a room , like many I'm not sold on the sarky vamp. Might take a few episodes to get used to him. And who is that lady?? I first thought Eve too, but no

Well it was quite good. Moved on nicely but the end of the world/time jumping felt a bit too similar to the recent The Fades imho. I agree with other folks that it would have been nice to see Nina again rather than just a mention and as for George dying, well part of me thinks bumping off two main cast members at the end of one season/start of another was a bit daft tbh... like someone else said, George should have stuck around for a bit longer. The new characters are a welcome additon though.

I had been prepared to give up Being Human. The show has never been as good as the first series and has suffered from feeling rushed at times in order to tie up one story arc just to begin the next in time for the new series. The end of series three being a case in point - why bring Herrick back to underuse him and then kill him off so easily?
Aidan Turner's casting in The Hobbit has probably been a blessing for the series as a whole. As much as I loved the characters in the beginning, the format had become stale. If Turner leaving prompted the other cast members to leave too then it feels like the show has a new lease of life. Yes, elements of the writing aren't great, perhaps forced by suddenly so few returning cast members however, the potential for a really good series arc and a refresh feels like a good thing. I'm certainly intrigued enough to want to keep watching.

That's a shame would've much more prefered to have them join the series than have a new batch forced upon us.
Can't feel the same about the show now that George & Nina have gone.

looks like we have a paradox to rival 'day of the daleks'
and i bet smart phone vamp faked the last bit of the prophecy to get the baby killed in the past.

I really liked the first episode, but did it tick anyone else off that the supposed new big bad introduced at the end of series 3 was killed off in between series 3 & 4? Me thinks they couldn't get the actor back.

Well, the episode does establish that she needs something to believe in after all the recent losses.

I'm enjoying the new line up along side annie, Hal is a great prospect given his history.

Ok so episode one was alright, liked episode two, and really liked episode three. It took its time, but I really enjoy the trio now. Tom and Hal - loving their relationship Here's hoping that the rest of the series just keeps getting better and better.

Yeah, agree completely.  Tom and Hal is classic.  Liked the little nod to The Real Hustle based relationship of old!
