But Saw IV wasn't really that great was it? - 18/2/2008 8:50:06 AM

It was probably better than Hellraiser IV though. I thought Clive Barker had been invited to write the screenplay for the remake. Obviously he didn't put in enough ridiculous sped-up mtv style jump cuts. In summation: the Saw films suck.

Hellraiser is one of the scariest, gory , fun horror movies around, why bother remaking it? Oh hang on, these are probably the people who thought it was a good idea to remake The Omen, The Amityville Horror, Psycho...

I'm a big fan of the frnachise i have the five films that are released here and plan on buying the other three very soon, enough of me I am so very angry with the weinsteins who are producing the new film the have fucked up another franchise/film (mimic/grindhouse) why? because they are fucking idiots i didn't like saw 4 it was nothing a sequel should be and they should have kept it as a trilogy not pentology the weinsteins are egotistacle fuckwads who are so far up their arses they don't see what fans or the public want they are after a quick buck also i wish clive barker was writing it he is the creator of a fantastic franchise with a lot of history and his remake would have given the world his true uncut vision of the dark side of hell with a bigger budget than he originally had but like in true hollywood fashion they fuck it all up for money !!!!!!

Problem with all the remakes, reimagining and sequals of horror icons is they can never be as scary second time round. What made Jason, Freddy, Michael, Cenobites, Leatherface and the scream killer scary was theat they were unknowen and a total head fuck. Once we got to know them, not as scary. Jeepers Creepers managed to complete the life cycle of a horror creature with one movie. Pinhead isn't scary anymore.

I am but an egg.

They know a good chunk of us will go and see if even if just to talk about how shit it is, shouldn't have been made etc etc. They won't stop with these poitless remakes until their pockets start to take a hit.

How bout we start boycotting pointless remakes... at least of any high profile film made within the last 25 - 30 years?

Blah blah, hellraiser, fucking blah remake blah!

More like hellraper, The weinsteins only fuck stuff up. They should try something original like eating their own shit.

Have all thoughts of originality gone out of the window? This is pointless and detrimental to the original which is a great horror film. What next? A re-make of the Evil Dead?!

What's wrong with the old motto "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."??
I don't want to see another classic horror franchise be subjected to a 'modern interpretation'.
