 Yeah i came away with a bit more respect for Lesnar.  Really should have been over in the first round though,  hopefully Carwin will bounce right back with a win.

Lesnar showed amazing heart to survive, but I reckon any of the UFc heavyweights could have taken out Carwin in that second round!

It reminded me of the simpsons episode where Homer becoes a boxer - he cant beat anyone but can take punch after punch until his opponent falls over. It was similar to that!

Should be a really good series - JDS doesn't speak great english so communication may be a slight issue

I don't think Brock could have picked a worse fight either, JDS hits hard and he won't gas like Carwin did. If brock doesn't get a takedown fast then he could be in real trouble.

 I'm really surprised Brock is doing TUF as it's clear he's not a fan of the limelight. Still, should make for fantastic TV, Do we know when it will be airing?

I only got round to watching UFC 125 last weekend. What a fantastic card. The main event was a stonker, how Edgar made it through that first round I have no idea. Veras nose wasn't a pretty site either.

Anyone looking forward to the Strikeforce HW Tournament?

Alot of great fighters and fights already set up for the first round (quarterfinals), Hopefully Fedor v Overeem semi final if overeem see's off werdum. (which he probably will)

Cant Wait. First round is in Feb!

Apparently Rashad eVans vs Rampage has just been announced for UFC 130!

Think he may be champ for a long time to come if he can keep duplicating performances like that, certainly think Rashad doesn't really stand a chance to be honest.

Looks like Bisping is the new 'hated guy', I have no problem with the illegal knee (he deserved it at the end of the day) but the spitting in the corner was taking it a bit far IMHO.

Zuffa buy out SF as well, only a matter of time before we see that integration like the WEC. Looks like Danas plans to hold a decent UFC event nearly every week are only a matter of a few years away at the most. MMA in general is growing so much, that's a great thing.

 Yeah, I don't think poor old Rashad stands a chance either. Funnily enough, the one Light-Heavyweight who people think could be a possible threat to Jones is fighting tomorrow night. Phil Davis. If he can get past Lil Nog, then he'll certainly be a possible contender.

I can never quite figure out Bisping. Sometimes it seems as though he plays up to the role of 'The Villain' but yet spitting at the coaches was no doubt crossing the line. I still like the guy but he has to be reprimanded in some way. Although saying that, being an utter douche really is working in his favour, with Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen and even Anderson Silva coming out and saying that wanna fight Bisping after what he did. I wouldn't be surprised if Bisping's next fight is a No.1 Contender shot.

 Maybe that's what he was after? Like you say, it hasn't really done him any harm as far as career progression goes, Dana has a soft spot for him aswell so hopefully he'll be on the title scene soon.

Dan Hardy really took losing to GSP heart didn't he? A three fight losing streak is not good, he still hasn't improved his takedown defence which is pretty criminal to be honest, as soon as he faces a half decent wrestler he's at a disadvantage.

And yes KZ turned it on big time with the twister.

The next biggy is 129, which is certainly one of the most stacked cards of all time and certainly, without reservation the grandest mixed martial arts event that North America has seen. I feel so despondent that I won't get to be there. Toronto is my city, and one of the biggest sports cities in the world, the build up, the event and the aftermath are going to be special. And, Jose Aldo....

I'm not sure, maybe I was being a little harsh and judging him by Jon Jones standards (who has been consistently putting a beating on opponents) but I just felt uninspired by the performance, Little Nog did pretty well at stuffing take-down attempts which is where I thought Davis really held an advantage. Maybe my original wording was incorrect, it was a pretty convincing win (going off the last two rounds) but I don't believe the hype that some people are putting on his shoulders. I don't think I'm convinced he's going to be a genuine title contender....

 Oddly enough, I kinda think all this Diaz drama worked out for the best. Diaz v. GSP would have been a good fight but Diaz v. Penn is a far more exciting match. Both have some of the best stand up and BJJ skills going, and should be a cracker. Also happy that Condit has finally got his title shot.

Oh, and Lesnar v. Overeem!? That's gonna be some fight. Someone made a fair point on Twitter stating that no matter what you think of Lesnar, he certainly hasn't taken many easy fights since joining the company. Overeem, Mir, Carwin, Cain, Couture. He's been fighting nothing but the toughest and best since arriving.
