I've been wanting to watch this for ages. Apparently it's very good and it's the best thing Ted Danson's been in for ages.
Does anyone know if tonight's show is the first episode?

Yes, it's the first episode.

I thought it was really good - Danson in particular is excellent, Glenn Close gives a greatest hits impersonation of her career and Zelko Ivanek (who's been in 24 among other things) particularly sympathetic. Rose Byrne's a bit flat to start with, but comes on strong towards the end of the season. It's probably not as complex as it likes to think it is (they play a bit loose with the timeline at certain points), and there's a bit of padding in the middle, but I think if you like the first episode you'll like the rest.

I plan on watching the first episode this evening but I've set this up to series record on my V+ box just in case it's a bit late   If it's that good then I won't have a problem staying up!

Well, I quite enjoyed that, though Close's character veers dangerously on the edge of caricature in this episode, saved only by her continual mind games. The bit with the dog was completely melodramatic (I nearly laughed!) but it did pay off later in the ep. James' comments on Rose Byrne had me apprehensive, but to be honest I thought she was fine. Will certainly catch it next week.

I watched the first 2 episodes on Sunday and loved it.  I wasn't expecting half of what happened, thought the twists were really good.

Glenn Close is superb in this as is Ted Danson.  It's funny as apart from the white hair he looks exactly the same as he did in the early days of Cheers

Trivia fact: The actress playing Katie, Anastacia Griffith, is Jamie Bamber's (from Battlestar Galactica) sister*.

Has the show been moved to Mondays or was this week a one off?

*Ah yes, sister, not brother. D'oh! Corrected now.

Top fact there CB

It does seem to have been moved to a Monday which really confused me last Sunday thinking I would be watching the 3rd episode then

Or possibly sister?.....

Have to admit I'm finding it very hard going. I do agree about Danson and, unfortunately, about Close - she's coasting on retreads. The whole thing is such an obvious copy/paste from so many other, and better, things. The whole 'shock' over chappy from Space Camp really just wasn't - and not only that, it was dumb. More melodrama than drama, really. I'm hoping it picks up but I've not seen anything to justify that yet. Very disappointed.

I'm really enjoying it so far. It even kept me away from the bar last night, which is some feat for a student.

I really like this. The cool thing is that its entirely unpredictable and everyone could turn out to completly different to what we first see of them as has already happened. Really gripping and throughly recommended.

revelation of this show is ted danson who plays frobisher on so many levels, one minute evil then ur on his side.
his dilemma about killing the witness in ep 2 was great acting, needing a hooker and drugs to get the courage to send the order.

Region 1 is already out and Region 2 will be out on 14 April. This thread title needs changing: they're not showing it on Sundays.

Two weeks until the next episode though.

And I agree about Fiske's teeth, anything involving teeth has freaked me out since I had dental surgery, couldn't watch that scene with Fiske.

Yeah, was a quality ending.  Just how many lives have been ended/destroyed by this case now?! Ray, Ellen and her bloke, Gregory, the sister, George Moore, Frobisher, Frobisher's wife, Patti - the list just goes on and it's not even going to get to trial this series!

Do think as a season, it lagged somewhat in the middle with nothing really going on, but it's going at a pace now.  Excellent stuff.

I think it has suffered from being 13 episodes. I reckon three or so episodes could have been trimmed, and it would have been a much better series as a result.

There were some episodes in the middle which did seem like filler.

I agree but the last two have been brilliant. This is the best legal drama I`ve seen on tv for years with so many gripping twists and turns you just can`t predict it. Roll on the finale.

I thought this was an excellent series and enjoyed every episode.  Absolute quality performances from Glen Close and Ted Danson.

Few questions -  I assume that Frobisher doesn't die, is there anything special about the field he wanted to be left with?  He didn't care about his fortune, just that he was left with the field

hopefully season 2 will reveal the source of the personal animosity patty has for frobisher and where that fits in with the land-maybe to do with her lost child.

Yeah, I thought that there was a connections between him and Patty losing the child.
