Top 100 Films I've Watched This Year: 2008 - 31/12/2007 6:33:44 PM

After the success of 2007's lists, here's the thread for 2008.

The object of this list is to watch 100 brilliant films in a year. Whenever you watch a film you add it somewhere on your list, this way by the end of the year you will have a list of your 100 favourite movies.

Here's how it works: Whenever you watch a film that you rate 9 or a 10, place it somewhere on your list. Try to see all your favourite films in one year so that they all get a placement. Whenever you watch a film for a second time then move it up the list (I did so by 10%, so that if it was in the 50s on my chart it would move up 5 spots, etc.) 

Add your own list to this thread and continue updating it whenever you see a great film and let's see what you come up with by the end of the year.

 I've revamped the way I set this out, separating out cinema and other. I've also reordered into simple star ratings for non-cinematic releases, as I was finding it very arbitrary doing an order.
Non-cinematic releases are ordered chronologically, and within each year, alphabetically.
Cinematic releases are ordered by their percentage rating.
I'll keep a tally of films watched until I reach 100...

 Note that for the first 3-4 months of the year the ranking system was being applied with leniency. Consequently a number of films - particularly in the and the lower end of the categories (e.g. No Country for Old Men and In the Valley of Elah) - are probably ranked slightly higher than they should be. and categories are unaffected.

Ranking System (a variation of DJ Rob C Mark II!'s system).
