The first is obviously the best since that's the one where it all started, but I think 2's the most enjoyable -- takes what was good about the first, namely the interplay between Riggs and Murtaugh, and cranks it up a notch. And unless you've got something personal against Pesci, I don't know how anyone could find Leo annoying (unless you're annoyed with him in the same context as Gibson and Glover's characters in the movie, in which case, that's how you're supposed to feel) -- not only is he perfect as the comic relief, but he serves a purpose in that he progresses the relationship off our two buddy cops as we get to see them working in 'harmony' as opposed to working against one another, which, in my opinion, is far more fun and entertaining to watch. "Don't you go being a smort geffa, maybe we let you live, 'ah?"
