Is that 'cos you've only just seen the film, or only just realised it's him? He's in Goodfellas too, you know.

Oh, and that scene in True Romance features the guy who played Tin Tin in The Crow. I haven't watched that film in ages.

James Horner's Aliens score at the very end of Die Hard... and Horner wasn't even scoring the film.

Where?

Right at the end, when McClane's cop buddy guns down the last baddie. It's the same music used when Ripley drops the Queen into space and closes the air-lock.

Its similar but not the same.

That part of Horner's Aliens score is possibly the greatest action climax cue of all time, so you can't blame them for being influenced by it. It pops up in trailers all the time as well. I remember it being used as temp music in the pilot of Lost before the broadcast version.

Watched Stardust last night and it's chock a block with 'Hey Isn't that....?' moments.

For me by far the most surprising was that one of the Witches was Terri from 'The Thick of It'. Oh and if you're yet to watch 'The Thick of It', please do.

Ah, right, I thought it would be that. It is similar, I agree. It's not the exact same music though, that track is in the soundtrack for Die Hard.

Talking of Stardust, I noticed that evil bloke from Sunshine was in it.  I recognised his voice.  And did I see David Walliams?

Daniel Kash in Aliens.

I grew up watching "Due South" (i'm only 22 now) and DK appeared as a detective in Seasons 3 and 4. I only noticed DK in Aliens when I got the Quadrilogy. Damn shock!

It was Walliams, all the dead brothers were great cameos, particularly Adam Buxton and Mark Heap. I was expecting Pegg and Coogan to show up at some point but alas they didn't.

I noticed this while watching The Fighter recently. It's not like the kid's grown up much, but I definitely said: "Hey, that's the kid from Bad Grandpa!" with about that much enthusiasm.

I was watching The Graduate for the first time in a while recently, and I just about spat out my drink when Richard Dreyfuss popped up. He's there and then he's gone in like two seconds. Would have been normal at the time, but watching it now just makes the scene so much more hilarious.

Watched Aliens for the first time in years yesterday (still awesome). Noticed Jonathan Creek's Adam Klaus (Stuart Milligan) as 'Salvage Guy No. 1' in the opening scene.
