I watched Constantine the other night and a certain Mr Shia LaBeouf was in it as Constantine's driver/side kick and looking very young he was too.

Yeah, playing a taxi driver at 18. Sigh.

Watched Sharpe's Eagle from 1993 today, and in it playing a bad guy was none other than......

Lord Asriel, James Bond himself, Chester's own Mr. Daniel Craig!

Here are another couple of flyboys:

James Earl Jones riding one of the horses of the apocalypse in Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.

Robert Shaw toffing it up in The Dambusters.

I don't think this has been mentioned, but in Scream 2, the film-within-a-film's killer is played by Luke Wilson.

I may be wrong but is one of the "Niallists" in The Big Lebowski Stephen Merchant? If not, then he is a f***ing spitting image! I know the other two are Flea & Peter Stormare.

Why would it be Stephen Merchant? Lebowski was made in 1998 in the US and at that time, Merchant wasn't even known over here, let alone over there

The guy was played by Torsten Voges. Nice name, eh?

Yes, she used to play the wife of one of the King family, and had an affair with Robert Sugden. The little scamp.

Not a movie but I always seem to surprised to see Simon Pegg in Band of Brothers.

A baby-faced James McAvoy also crops up in one episode of Band of Brothers too.

McAvoy's also in the first episode of Foyle's War and so is Rosamund Pike.

I hadn't seen that film for years and by sheer coincidence I flicked it on over Chirstmas. I love it even more now!

Also Kevin Bacon as the man who races Steve Martin to the taxi at the beginning of Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

Sorry to be pedantic but Kensit was in Lethal Weapon 2, not 3. She was in Holby City after her stint on Emmerdale, too.

Isn't that the point of this thread though? To recognise people in films before they were famous? Smart arse!

Anyway your right I was wrong it is Torsten Voges. But he is a f***ing spitting image for Merchant though.

But he's English and didn't work in America before he was famous here (Lebowski was 1998) so there is no way it could have been him. Sorry, but that's just the way I see it. And there's no need for name calling. Cock

More fantastic Sharpe appearances (some before they were famous, some not so):

Brian Cox (had been Lector in Manhunter, but not done much else)
Pete Postelthwaite
Liz Hurley
Emily Mortimer (she's in everything, you just don't know her name)
James Purefoy
Mark Strong (You don't know him, but he's been in Stardust, Sunshine, Tristan and Isolde, Syriana....)
Paul Bettany

Wow.

Sarah Polley and Uma Thurman in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

That was Polley?  Oh my.

I'd only just gotten over the fact she was the titular character in an old American kids' tv series Ramona or something.  We used to get it on C4 on early sunday mornings.

[edit]:  I don't know if it has been posted yet, but Kevin Spacey in Working Girl.
