Ever watched something you've seen a thousand times and noticed somone in it you've never seen before?

For instance today I was watching se7en and noticed John C McGinley (of Platoon and Scrubs) as a SWAT leader called California.

Later I was watching Father Ted (Christmas special) and noticed Kevin McKidd (Dog Soldiers) as one of the priests lost in the store.

How about you guys....

Cpt Dale Dye: In every war film post-Platoon. Hell, he even crops up in Mission Impossible and Outbreak. Before we knew who he was, my brothers and I called him 'Military Guy' due to his parts in Wings Of The Apache, Saving Private Ryan, JFK and Under Seige.

On a similar note, Saving Private Ryan has Bryan Cranston (Hal from Malcolm In The Middle) in it as a corporal that convinces the general to sent a unit to find Private Ryan and Nathan Fillion (Firefly) is the 'other Private Ryan'. The crying one.

We've had similar threads before but anyway.

Hardly a shocker that - it's how I was first aware of her as an actress. (And please, let's bear in mind that Leon was made in 1994, and I watched it then, and I was 13, and so was she! It's really not as as potentially hideous as it initially sounds!!)

Our little Frodo, I mean Elijah Wood. I don't know if you remember, or if you noticed that Elijah appeared in Back to The Future II. In the 80's Cafe where Micheal J. Fox showed two little boys how to play shoot'em up game and the kids said "what you're using your hands" and buzzed off. Yes, one of the little kids is Elijah Wood. If you don't believe me go and check yourselves.

I love the way Jim Robinson from Neighbours seems to be cropping up in every US TV program these days. I think he was in Star Trek: Nemesis too.

These two are more well-known, but still uncredited cameos. Sam Jackson is at the end of Out of Sight, and Michael Keaton plays the same character for one brief cameo, that he played in Jackie Brown. Both films were based on Elmore Leonard novels, hence the connection.

Superman has loads of these moment, Cliff from Cheers is a missile control operator, Larry Hagman is the Army General who tries to give Mrs Teschmacher CPR, Captain Harris from the Lethal Weapon films is one of the detectives who followsOtis into the Subway. Theres also a blink and you'll miss it appearance from Oz Clarke, the wine expert as a criminal (he's credited as merely Hood 4).

He's the radar operator warning Arnie and Cindy they risk being shot down as they're heading to the island in the plane towards the end of the film.

"We lost 'em sir."
