Click for a brilliant cover of a traditionally overplayed song for this year. Heard it on the radio yesterday, and love it. I'm guessing it was recorded from the radio, because it cuts out right at the end, but otherwise great stuff.

Also, what is everyone's favourite Christmas Carol, and Christmas Song?

Favourite Carol is definitely In The Bleak Midwinter. Not sure about Christmas Song. The Darkness' was great a few years back.

I have two fave carols Silent Night, and O Holy Night, which is more of a hymn than a carol but it is very beautiful

My fave christmas song is the version of The Little Drummer Boy that David Bowie performed with Bing Crosby

Hark the Herald Angels Sing, O Come Let Us Adore Him, and the tidings of comfort and joy one are my favourite carols, I love carol services, not sure if I'll get to go to one this year. I've got lots of favourite Christmas songs, though Last Christmas, the Mariah one and Shakin Stevens' Merry Christmas Everyone always take me back and make me feel festive!

Another song that I really like is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. Judy Garland sang it in Meet Me in St Louis. I have an excellent version by a guy called Mel Torme.

Tis an excellent song, I sang it at a Christmas Karaoke last year, don't think that you'd like that song very much if you'd of heard it

I'm feeling suitably festive, so I'm off to watch Fred Claus in a few. So what if it's shite? Half the fun of Christmas is shite films!

I love that vid.

Homer, Fred Clause is ok.  It's a great cast in a wasted film.  Watch out for the Sibling's Anonymous bit.  That made me chuckle.

Will do, funky! Fortunately, I'm going to Newport so no getting lost!

I see the Tim Allen Santa films have taken over our automatic spelling of 'Claus' to 'Clause' tho

I copied it and pasted it into a new window, but it wasn't 'clickable'. Was it on yours then? Cos I saw image tags either side, rather than link tags.

I know!!  Gah!  Subversive media and the effect it has on society.  There's a dissertation title for you!

The link still worked Bob, just you were asking for it to come up as an image.

Argh, dissertations! *runs away*

Funnily enough, I'm actually outta here. Review of Fred Claus on mini-reviews later/tomorrow!

Siblings Anonymous. Heh heh.

I thought it was enjoyable fare - not great, and with the usual North Pole gaudiness, but better than a lot of Christmas films of late!

"He's not Alec!"

It's ok, just nothing spectacular.  You'd expect better with the cast it has.  To be honest though as much as I was going so that the Funklet could watch a Christmassy film, the primary reason was Vince Vaughn.  Yummy!

Heh. Rachel Weisz was more my cup of tea, even if she was doing a faux-Eastenders accent that slipped every now and again.

Yeah!  I didn't understand that at all!  Parts of it were straight out of Albert Square.  I spent half the time waiting for her to scream "Riiiccckkkkyyyyyy".  The lack of Ricky notwithstanding.  My daughter loved seeing Santa being beaten up though.  I'm thinking she's getting ideas!

How to kill the Christmas spirit?  Find out that some little bastards have broken into your parent's home.
